The following isn't figure related at all. You might keep that in mind while reading this text. Thank you.
Year after year I've searched for a place of my own. 'To break the chains', 'flee the nest' et cetera. Getting more depressed every month of not finding anything I finally found an apartment.
It is great, don't get me wrong. It has more space than I ever need and it is very comfy. I already feel 'at home', but it feels so empty. I used to hear my brother call his PC names because he couldn't win, see my parents or the dog when I got home and now there's just a dark hallway. I was wondering, how did you coop with it? I know in the end you'll get used to anything, but it feels so strange and dare I say lonely. What I'm trying to say is this: how long did it take for you to completely feel 'at home'?
[this text is still somewhat raw & unedited]
[update 2011-11-08] I started by unboxing some figures and placing them around the room, after which I started hanging up my posters. Still need to unpack some of my figures, this will keep me occupied and I'm sure it'll change the apartment one by one. [/update]
