iNYTR 7: Rage of Olivia (whaaat)n/a    Readers' selection (2014-05-13)

Earlier today I was clicking around the site and was thinking I should do something,

And sure enough I found some stuff to do,

Anyway, with out further ado, a quick review of Shingeki no Bahamut's Dark Olivia, by Kotobukiya!

What? You may ask. I did too, since when I saw the item page there's no review, to my surprise, what with it being popular and all. Then again with all the pictures spawning out of the figure, that's really all the review we need, no?

Well, anyway, nit picks gonna... nit.

Skipping the box (which I just opened, after leaving it alone for a few weeks), what you'll find inside is, well, as expected, Olivia.

There's also a little diorama which you can take out the box for instant back ground,

A little bit of details on her accessories

If I may, I'd say they're pretty detailed! And pretty sharp too, those swords.

A peculiar thing that I first noticed was the stand, below it was a screw. And looking at Olivia you'd conclude right away, she's screwed with the base. On the base. Right.

It's kinda worrying since that means the only thing supporting the figure is one leg. Why it bothers me?

Don't get me wrong the wings are gorgeous, but they also pack some weight, relatively speaking for a figure.

The base, aside from the obvious crystalline, also have a little bit more design than that.

That said, I think she works as a figure even without her accessories

Kinda screwed up here, too dark

Well, this is the nit picking part, honestly I have no problem with these... defects? That's too heavy a word in my opinion, but anyway,

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/Fryste1399904814.jpeg

That's all I can see, as far as defects goes, which isn't really even obvious unless you're looking for it.

Well anyway let's give her her wings!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/Fryste1399906229.jpeg

Alright SWEET JEEBUS WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER HEAD

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/Fryste1399906231.jpeg
That's more like it,

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/Fryste1399906237.jpeg

You can actually separate Olivia into 3 pieces, first, as demonstrated, the head, and then her torso, naturally leaving the third piece her sweet legs

And there's a good reason for these,

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/Fryste1399906233.jpeg

The wings need a little bit of work (at least for me) to get them in their proper place, and shown above, you need to slide her wing through the gap of her hair.

And when doing this, I do suggest to remove her torso from her bootylegs since I notice it kinda wobbles a lot.

And here is her with her 2 swords, I opt to not put her... belly thing anymore since I'm still gonna put her back anyway.

Anyway, that's it! BTW I should probably put this in the first part of the review but that's against policy since I only remembered this now, the plastic they used for dividing the parts seems different from the ones I am used to, this kind are a little bit sticky on one side, but otherwise seems to be harmless to the figures.

That's all!

Bonus! It's not a Fryste review without silhouette(edited) shots!

adrikyn (3 years ago) #21411739 of the 12 Koto scale figures I own have all been screwed to or pre-attached and irremovable the bases. I actually think it's a good idea since it should mean no broken pegs! I've yet to have a problem with them. You seemed surprised so I thought I'd bring it up.

Yeah, I was, well, not surprised in a bad way, just surprised. I haven't been collecting for a long time so this is a new thing to me. :D

Thanks guys! I'll try to take that pic without her wings. But I'll do that with a different background, maybe with a theme. Soon!

Ah no, some parts of her hair isn't well.. I'm not certain with the term, sculpted (back part)? And the front part is a little smudgy (is how I'd describe it) Other than that it's really nice though!

Not sure, but is the nitpicking supposed to be about her hair color? If yes, nothing's wrong with it as it's supposed to be like that from the original -> picture #842919
It's a shine effect, I think, so her hair is brighter on top ^^

THANKS FOR THE REVIEW. THE FIRST SILHOETTE SHOT IS BETTER IN MY OPINION. BUT YOU SHOULD DO ONE WITHOUT THE WINGS ON. IT LOOKS WAAAAY TOO ANIME. LOL I LOVE THE SHOT.

THANKS TO THIS ENTRY, I DON'T THINK I'LL NEED TO OPEN MY BOX FOR A WHILE SINCE I GOT TO SEE HOW SHE'S PACKAGED AND ALL THOUGH AN MORE COMMON CAMERA LENS. (IN OTHER WORDS, I'D KNOW HOW IT WOULD LOOK IN MY ROOM WHICH IS SHADED.
