Needing help locating packages

Hello everyone!

Usually I don't worry about my packages, because I've never had problems with them before, but this time I have a problem and I don't have any clue as to how to solve it, so I'm hoping anyone here can provide some advice.

(If a blog like this one isn't allowed, please let me know and I'll remove it.)

So two of my packages have seemingly disappeared into thin air. On the second of May, my first package left Tokyo with EMS. Until this day the tracking hasn't been updated yet, only showing that it left Tokyo.
Same with my second package, also shipped with EMS, which left Osaka on the sixth of May. Yet again the tracking hasn't been updated, only showing that it left Osaka.

My third package, which was sent a few days after the second, however, did arrive at customs here last Friday. This one was also shipped with EMS, so it's not like I used a different shipping method.

I always use EMS and I'm used to my packages arriving at customs two or three days after they leave Japan. So the fact that two of my packages have not had their tracking updated since they left Japan is worrying me.

I already went to my local post office in the hopes that they could point me to someone that could help me locating my packages, but that one was basically a dead end (didn't really expect something, but you know, I could try).
Customs apparently don't want to receive e-mails inquiring about packages, because they supposedly don't handle the whole package thing.

So I'm starting to get at my wit's end to be honest, because I'd really like to know where my packages are. I've never had this problem with EMS before, so I don't know what to do now.

Does anyone know what I could do? Or does anyone else living in Belgium have any problems with packages not arriving at customs?

No, that's one thing I can count on and that's that they don't change the tracking number.

Just in case you will need it.
Also, I think you are supposed to contact the sender if your parcel is lost.
Then its their responsibility to find it.
If that fails, they might just compensate or ask you to file for the insurance i think ?

Thank you for the advice and the link! I'll wait a few more days and then I'll contact the store. Hopefully they'll be able to help me.

BOOTP (6 months ago) #21173618Give it till the end of the week and see what happens. Sometimes a scan can be missed or a delay in customs can occur.
Another tip is to try putting the tracking number into you own postal service, rather than Japan Post.
The good news is that EMS is fully insured so you will be able to claim if necessary.

Thanks, I'll see what I get with the tracking number on the postal service site here. Hopefully the tracking will finally update this week, because I'm getting quite annoyed now.
