Missing Nendoroid Part?

Hey everyone! So recently I was able to get the Free Skating Yuri nendoroid from Anime Expo. My friend picked it up and shipped it to me straight away!

However, after opening him up I looked back at the photos she sent me and the video I filmed for an unboxing to realize he was missing his spare leg! Factory sealed and everything without it!

I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else? I emailed GSC twice but still havent heard back. Did they help anyone? Maybe replace the part? I offered them the video footage of me opening him as well for authenticity so I hope they get back to me soon but its already been a week.

I feel like this lowers his value if I ever wanted to resell in the future because he's missing a part!

EDIT 7/21: So after my 3rd email to Goodsmile using my Yahoo account instead of Gmail I finally got a reply. They said they emailed me back on 7/11 which is 1 day after my first email on 7/10. I dont have an email in my inbox, spam, anywhere. SO thats super weird. But they gave me a tracking # for the leg replacement and it shows it was shipped the 12th and has been held up in California since the 13th. The tracking simply says now Origin Post is Preparing Shipment. Which makes NO sense. I'll update again once I have more info!

EDIT 7/25: The USPS lost my package basically lol. Tracking says it arrived at LA on 7/13 but hasnt updated. I got in touch with some people and they said that basically means it was SUPPOSED to come in on a palette of packages that day but wasnt actually scanned in. He checked tracking of other packages from that palette and theyre all moving along just fine. So 100% chance they lost it or it never actually made it to them. I have emailed goodsmile to see what they recommend in this situation.

EDIT 7/26: Bless GSC. They sent another leg and gave me a tracking #. Pray for me everyone that this one arrives.

EDIT 7/29: After the second tracking number seemed to hit the limbo the 1st one did I made another blog asking for advice. I then called USPS and was told theyre probably stuck in customs. After that I emailed GSC to see about paying for EMS shipping to avoid this limbo ONLY to then find one of the legs in my mailbox a few hours later. The USPS is absolutely worthless, telling me its in customs/not in their possession yet an employee was putting it in my mailbox at the same time. Absolutely ridiculous. Either way, Yuri has his leg now and my nightmare is over.

As long as the figure is less than a year old then Good Smile Company will guaranteed replace the missing or broken parts, well, maybe, some people have had issues with customer service before. I've had several issues, and all of them were resolved like broken parts or parts with pegs that didn't fit.

IntoOpenWaters (2 months ago) #23506708I'm so glad you posted this. I actually have purchased factory sealed Figmas that were missing parts (K-On!! Ritsu came without a stand, and Yui and Azusa came without guitar straps). Out of curiosity, do you need some proof of purchase through them? I didn't get them through the GSC website, and it's been quite a while since I purchased them.
OP: Also, I second that it's the weekend. They will respond to your email when the business week starts again. Keep in mind the timezone difference. They are often a day ahead of us, so if you emailed them yesterday, their weekend may have already started at that time.

Nah, I usually buy through hobby search so I always list them and I get the parts replaced.

Hikari-chan (2 months ago) #23506939Nope, you don't have to have purchased it through them
They replaced a broken sword for a Nendo I bought from Yorokonde without a problem and now I've had a problem with a Nendo from a local store (which didn't even put nendo or the Name on the bill, just figure and the price) and they replaced it without any problems
But they only replace if the figure is not older than one year! If it's in one year since release then they'll replace it normally even if your purchase was some time back

There's the kicker--1 year. I should have known they wouldn't just sit on pieces for the rest of existence lol. Looks like I'm out of luck, but it's still very good information to have since I'm going to keep collecting their items. Thanks for the knowledge!

agentmozell (2 months ago) #23504652It might be because it's the weekend? If you haven't heard back by Tuesday or Wednesday email them again. They usually took about 2-3 days to reply during the week for me, but they always replaced parts--even when it was my stupid error that broke it.

hatterinsanity (2 months ago) #23490508Hi! Yes the form is what I used both times when trying to contact them. I got a confirmation email that my submissions went through and they'd work it next business day and yet still nothing. I sent the first one 7.10 and another yesterday 7/14
That is too strange! They responded to a recent email I sent them within three days. If you've checked your spam and junk mail folders I would try maybe using a different email to contact them if they haven't responded over the next few business days.
