KingSabah (2 months ago) #24601712After moving to our new house, I gained a new display area outside of my single DETOLF for my figurines, which freed up some clutter in the display case. However, I REALLY wanna cut back on collecting and stick to Fate/ for now (given all the FGO merch, my collection REALLY is becoming Fate/ only haha). Though I still have a figure or two outside of the series I'm hoping to pickup (the Ryuuko Nendoroid, Persona 5 figma(s), some Love Live! Nendos) - I'd like to keep those in the package until I find a good home for them.
I just receieved ITEM #464612 and ITEM #455088 recently, I couldn't hold back from opening them so I made space on my bookshelf area, good thing Nendos are relatively small. I admire your tenacity in restricting your collection thus far, and I hope you can maintain your goals throughout the year! It's always fun reading your posts, it makes me take a step back and consider my collection (since I usually add as I go, makes it easier to think about afterwards, heh.)

I see that a lot of collectors here on MFC collect Nendos and I can understand how addicting those can get, Star Wars is one of the series that's addicting to me that leads to getting a LOT all at once and when I get a good looking vehicle or figure I can't resist opening it since I love the large Star Wars vehicles since they turn into Playsets and that's one of my weakness with certain toy lines at times.

I have to restrict my collecting a lot due to the fact I go through so much money at times when I'm fixated on a series and dealing with a large stack of stuff with no place to display it becomes a usual annoyance so I have to keep myself focused on that so I can relax and continue to enjoy collecting.

Collecting is no fun when you can't display things and end up with stacks of stuff you want to open but you can't because you don't have space for them.

I'm happy I avoided the Fate Craze, looking at how much that is costing other collectors makes me glad that for the price of one of those scales I could get another lightsaber for the collection or a TON of Star Wars items and figures so I'm happy to have at least 3 or 4 Fate figures in the collection.

Darkdman00 (2 months ago) #24593578Atm, I do keep my recently acquired figures in their box until I can put them in the cabinet.(putting new carpet in)
Also, space is always an issue, so much stuff so little space....='3

Space will always be an issue with me till I move out, I just have to keep that in mind before I look at another figure and I don't have space in my display cases for any more Anime figures so now it's dealing with making sure my bookshelves don't get filled up too fast.
