Most figmas have the ability to remove their body parts by pegs instead of ball joints. This leaves room for body swapping. One of my favorite body swaps is user bakanki's figmas Aragaki Ayase and Kamen Rider Siren, trading Ayase's forearms and forelegs for Siren's to give her a more battle-oriented look. Some others take Siren's head and put in another female figma's on top.
Then there are Nendoroids, whose arms, legs, and faces can swap around with other Nendoroids to create an array of emotions and movements, such as Nendoroid's Elsea de Lute Irma's swinging arms and running motion and Kousaka Kirino's super happy face. It seems Good Smile allows a good amount of customization with their figures like a Gundam model kit would (please don't kill me, gunpla enthusiasts! ; A; )
I've only fiddled with body swapping once or twice, mainly with figmas Drossel, Mato, and Black Rock Shooter. But I've seen people mess around with their figures, and I love some of the matchings that occur.
Personally, my favorite usually involves Drossel, like Drossel's body with Yuki Nagato's head, or even Mato Kuroi's head.
