Salutations all, I'm back with a brand new review!
Get ready to let reality slip and fall into the wondrous world of Delusion as I take a look at S.H. Figuarts
Akiba Red

The first member of the Unofficial Sentai team to be released, Red arrives in typical Figuarts fashion, packaged in a sylish cardboard box with plastic window along with a plastic tray inside to hold his figure and accessories.

Bursting from the realm of delusions, Akiba Red is reproduced in great detail, giving us lots to look forward to in the line.

"Ah ha! Shiba-sama, you're here too! Is Hanaori-chan or..?"
"Sorry Akagi-san, it's just me..."

"Apparently this collector isn't that big of a Sentai fan."

"EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!?"
A fully-plastic figure, he features the same type of ball rotation ankle joints that mostly appear in the Ultra-Act line, as well as Kamen Rider Figuarts like Den-O and Shadowmoon. These offer a decent amount of range and allow for some great posing, but suffer from a small amount of limitation in back and forward movement.

"N-n-n-now wait a minute!! How does this show off my poseability?!?"

"Ah, that's much better...though you still posted that OTHER picture..."
When it comes to accessories, Red comes with a fair amount to round out the release. Included are four pairs of hands; two fists, two splayed open hands, two open flat hands, two gripping hands, a relaxed open hand with the pointer finger extended, and lastly, another relaxed open hand, this time with the pointer and middle finger extended for recreating his fighting stance.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, how could this happen?!?!"

The main weapon of the Akibarangers, the MMZ-01, or the MoeMoe Z-Kun is also included, but only in Magnum form. I think it would have been nice if a scale Moe mode version had been included as well.

Lastly, Red comes with two seperate versions of his scarf; a static version that just hangs down his back, and a flowing version for more action oriented poses. Molded in soft plastic, they peg easily onto the small ball-joint on the back of his collar.

The first of the line, Red is an excellent start to it as well. Loaded with the peak amount of Figuarts joints, he is incredibly poseable and only suffers a slight bit of limitation when trying to pose his arms fully in front of his chest.

"Finisher! Moe Magnum!!"

The detail and paint on the figure is top-notch, and really does a great job of capturing the look of the suit from the show.

All in all, Akiba Red is a superb kick-off to the Akibranger line. While it may be short currently(only the three main Rangers with the possibility of Malshina being released, and don't get me started on the insanely priced transforming Machine Itashar), it's certainly a worthwhile line to look into.

"Commander Arashiyama has the best hair!"

"...though I bet you're like that damn DeluKnight, you probably don't even know who that is!"
If, like me, you're a fan of the show, then I would without a doubt recommend picking up Akiba Red, and his teammates Blue and Yellow, as soon as they become available, unless you've already preordered them of course.

"Sayaka-san~!!"

"Eh? Wait, Sayaka-san isn't even here..."
If you're unsure of his design, or if you haven't seen the show yet, do yourself a favor and give it a watch. It's only 13 episodes long, and is a glorious romp that I'm certain you'll enjoy. Here's to hoping they get a second season!

"You're just making me say random lines from the show, with no cohesiveness between them!!"

"That's it, I won't be your puppet any longer! This review is over!!"

"............"
As always, I would like to thank you for taking the time to check out my review. I hope that it was informative, and helped you decide whether or not to pick up the fourth wall breaking leader of this Unofficial Sentai team!

"ORAAAA! You punk, I won't let you have your way!"
'Till next timeOW! OWW!!

"Bastard! Don't even think I'll let you escape!!"
