iThank You, Figure Gods!n/a

First off, I have an in-joke with some pals that since I actually get pretty darn lucky regarding statues and figures it's due to the fact I'm favored by the so called "Figure Gods". Hence title.

Anyway, I'm not really one of those who will have a massive collection anytime soon. Maybe someday over the course of my lifetime, because I'll always be a nerd, but not soon. I mostly gravitate towards series that don't get a lot of love or are mainly get FREAKING GARAGE KITS RAAAAW *RAGE*

However, since I got into this hobby late, I had a lot of out of print figures/statues that even at a "reasonable" price were crazy. This drained my statue/figure fund which I'm strict with. I won't take away from my moving out or basic needs funds.

So I really wasn't sure what I'd do when F4F announced this dude: item #116717 It's Ganondorf. GANONDORF DAMMIT! I get that he won't come out until like 2013, and there's flexpay, but Christ on a cracker that is expensive!

Then, something amazing happened. Not to the employee, but to me. This lady has been out sick at work for awhile, and we thought she was coming back, so she was on the schedule. Turns out last minute, not so much. This means all her shifts need to be covered.

What does this mean for me? I get to work 13 out of 14 days next schedule. I work at a hospital and am a union employee which means overtime pay. An obscene amount of it. This also means extra fuel for my figure fund. Which means YOU BETTER BELIEVE I ORDERED THE EXCLUSIVE VERSION OF THAT F*CKING STATUE!

It's just so weird that it happened to line up with Ganon's release. "Oh how will I ever afford him?!" and BAM! The Figure Gods come to the rescue.

At least it's all early shifts. That hospital is freaking scary at night. I thought I saw a ghost once and one night there was a trail of blood down the hallway when I got out of an elevator. Other crazy crap too. Fun times.

TL;DR: I'M GETTING GANONDORF!

It's always awesome when things work out~

...And I agree about the hospitals being a bit creepy at night. I volunteer at one, and I remember being a little jumpy while walking through a dark hallway one night. I'm not even in patient care and still, I was very uncomfortable XD;;

I find creepy stories to be both interesting and incredibly creepy. xD

I think you need to relearn the definition of fact. It would probably do you well to relearn the definition of theory too. A more accurate classification of what you're purporting is hokum.

We used to have carts that we'd take back to this room to wash out. When I was new to the job I was a bit slow and ended up totally alone. That room is creepy enough when suddenly, I swear to god, a cold hand smacked me across the face. I freaked out so bad I think I nearly fainted. I grabbed the cart and dashed out of there.

Nothing like that happened again, thank goodness; it's just the patients that are creepy now. A few days ago some lady was moaning like a monster; I seriously can't believe a human being can actually sound like that.
This sounds really scary. Me and my colleagues just heard some creepy noises but this!.. Glad you managed to overcome this fear. My mom always says that dead peole are not scary - they can do nothing, yet the living people are truly scary because they can do anything.

Just remebered the creepiest human (?) sound I've ever heard - I once walked out of the shopping center and saw a child squeaking wildly as if he was a hand-raped rubber duck.

Not only hospitals are scary at night. I stayed till late at my previous work quite often and whenever I was the only person in the office, something began to happen. Like loud footsteps in the empty corridor, doors opening/closing on their own, some papers rustling and even someone whispering. That happened every time someone was alone in the office, be it sunny day or late night. Scary as hell, I shall say - and it was a brand new business center!
However, now I work... in a hospital =__=
