Ghosts?
Absolutely real. I know that there are naysayers, but I've had waaaay too many experiences with them for everything that I've seen to be chalked up as mere coincidence. As a matter of fact, the place where I'm now living had such a spirit when I first moved here.

Case in point: when I first moved in with my husband, I started noticing all sorts of things. He had a lot of hats around the edge of this one room, we would go into this room and some of them had been knocked off the wall. (Hats of certian sports teams only.) He took a picture of this same room and in the background there were these glowing blips. (This was 15 years ago.) Was in art school and was working on a finals project that incorperated a antique plaster Icon of the Virgin Mary. It got late so I turned the project toward the doorway as it would remind me that I had to finish it. Closed the door to keep the cat out but she was sleeping in another room and head to bed myself. Not 10 minutes later, I hear this loud crash in the project room and go check it out with my husband, who was right behind me. When I open the door and turn on the light, the project itself is facing the opposite direction, the statue was across the room and broken in three very clean places. (Disecting the statue in three!) To this day, no matter what type of glue I use, it refuses to stay together.

He only then told me that the previous person who had lived here...died here.

Ghosts arent real. Its your imagination. Your brain is very powerful, the more you think tou are feeling/seeing/hearing something the more your braon is going to make it seem like ita happeneg, and the effect just spirals worse and worse and before tou know it you actual have convinced youself of aomething unreal.

Edit: fat fingering on my phone makes me look so illiterate lol.

I believe in ghosts and spirits. My dad's side of the family all have experienced the supernatural. I, myself, think that us humans don't understand what other worlds there are. I mean, who knows what type of spiritual force lingers as we live? We have no way to know for sure. My dad actually had seen his grandmother-the night she died- at the corner of his bedroom. She was transparent and all she said was "you will always be lebanese" (part of our families background). Then she faded away.
The night that my grandmother's dog died, I was awake late at night. All of a sudden, while I was sitting up in bed, I heard a loud howl echo from down the stairs. Then a "click-clack" noise on the wood floor in the hallway. That's the noise that my grandma's dog made when he walked. I was so freaked out- I heard it for almost a half an hour. The noise would approach each entrance to each bedroom, pause, and then it resumed on down the hall. That morning, I told everyone, but none of my family believed me except for my dad. he told me that he heard it too. I am very sure that wasn't my mind playing tricks with me or my dad trying to be funny. That was when I was 12 years old- so 4 or 5 years ago.

I was playing Mario Kart alone one night, trying to top my lap time on one of those tough rainbow road tracks, and then View Spoilera ghost that looked just like Mario appeared and starting racing me! I quickly pulled the power cord and buried the cartridge in my back yard the next day.. I think I was half asleep from playing for too long, so may have have been my mind playing tricks.

Terrifying story aside, I believe in the soul, but I don't think one is able to linger in this world without attachment to a live body.

I've a man's voice call my name sharply on two occasions.Both times it was mid morning but I was kind of half asleep,so it could've been my mind playing tricks. Heard a different man's voice say the word "TAM!"one time. Same circumstances as hearing my name.
I have been on a few paranormal investigations. Mostly I get smells: cigar smoke in one house,hay and horses outside another place that we found out had been a stagecoach stop, in a medical/dental office building one room smelt floral;left and came back later and it smelled like a funeral home.Otherwise I usually pick up on emotions or a sense of someone being present. The strongest I've had of these is a La Purisssima Mission,on the central coast of California. Every time I've been there,I always get the feeling of being watched by unseen presences. In one of the chapels I've felt there was one person waiting for others(like: I'm here but where's my people?). Others have claimed to hear organ music from the other chapel,but I have experienced that. Only experience ghostly touch once. I felt warmth on the small of my back,the way one does when another rests their hand there. Thing is I was the only one in the room and it wasn't the sunlight coming through the window either(I was in the shade!). So,Neko, you're not crazy.

Seconded. The real world is sadly boring like that. All supernatural beings, activities, whatsoever are nothing more than hoaxes or stuff that your brain cooks up when you're panicked. I've never heard of a ghost sighting in a lab environment where things can get tested, for one.

I know this is going to sound totally crazy, but I actually have a "pet" ghost cat that I have named Felix. It all started several years/apartments ago when I lived with my ex-bf. We had 3 [actual living] cats. (One of them was a little fluffy gray one named Abi.) There had been several times I could have sworn I heard a cat in the litter box or food bowl, or meowing, or jumping off of something even though all the cats were asleep. And a few times, when I was asleep, it felt like there was a cat walking on the bed, but the cats aren't allowed in the bedroom. I just dismissed it all and figured I was just imagining things, until one day when I went to go into the bedroom, and I very distinctly felt and saw something small, gray and fuzzy go past my ankles and dart under the bed. I thought it was Abi. I went to try and get him out from under the bed, and there was nothing there. I look all over the room and nothing. 0_o Then I open the door, and there's Abi sitting on the other side looking at me. 0_0 Even when I moved apartments, stuff like that kept happening. I just kept seeing/hearing/feeling a cat even when I knew where my actual cats were and what they were doing. I figured I was just crazy at first, but my ex-bf, my husband, my mom and various other people who have stayed with us have mentioned having "Felix" experiences while at our house. XD
