kilani (7 months ago) #1146798Hahahaha. They put items up as sold out, even though they are not really sold out. Some items go up for sale before others, so it's random in that you can't determine it. Just put up a notification and hope for the best.

I still dont know what putting up a notification means! The only thing I can see is watchlist but items in my watch list dont alert me when a preowned version shows up....

Could you reword that in a way that makes more sense please? Lol thanks for the info though, i just assumed they'd open the carts right when they update.

From my stock checks over the past 6 months or so I've found it's pretty random. Some items are probably taken quick but often if you are on it they are not really taken.

Wait wait wait, back up a second here. You're saying they dont even open up sales for the figures until however long after they're added? If this is the case then why are some figures available while others still say sold out? And how long before this "fake sold out status" on the figure page goes away so you can add it to cart?

kemando (7 months ago) #1146708Well, I discovered they usually update around a certain time in my area, so I waited and just kept clicking refresh, and it updated! I was so excited for first pick of the litter as they update. Well, thing is, all the new figures that got added, every one I clicked sent me to an error page, after endlessly closing and reopening each figure page (in tabs of course, always keeping preowned open) after the errors finally went away after closing and opening the pages (immediately I might add, about 1-2 second intervals), all the figures were gone. That's right, I refreshed the page the second they updated, and click a figure not 20 seconds after that, and apparently that's not fast enough. The pages send you to error messages, which doesnt mean a transaction, because other figures that had the error weren't sold (less popular of course) but the errors went away all at the same time, so even though I was there, and clicked the figure I wanted withing 30 seconds of the update, I didn't get it because of error messages, and when the errors went away they were sold out. This makes no sense to me at all.

They're not really sold out, AmiAmi does this with a lot of other things (sometimes pre-orders, usually sale items).

What time does it update? I live in Canada I believe mountain time... not sure when it does, so I check periodically throughout the day, alot of times I'm slow and miss some figures though.
