iSelling entire collectionn/a

Free shipping to anywhere in the US, though I'm willing to ship internationally.

None of the figures have ever been removed from their boxes and most of the boxes are in good condition. PM me for whatever you're interested in and I'll give pricing information and pics if desired.

Prices are negotiable. I'm looking to get these off my hands as quickly as possible so I'll be pretty flexible with pricing. I'll start posting individual ads in the coming days.

Otherwise, it's nice to meet you all and it's a shame that I only found out about this site when I decided to sell my collection.

baldr365 (1 year ago) #1088773@jena: Agreed. Is this the kind of impression you want to leave on a new member? Make your own blog to talk about this and let him sell in peace.

LOL. And yet you have no problem being an asshole to anyone else.

On topic: Also bought a figure from room26. Very quick response, and looking forward to receiving it!

jena (1 year ago) #1088691I understand everyone's point of view here and I do agree that the number of sales blogs has gotten out of hand, but isn't it a little unfair on this user to be ranting on his post? He just wants to sell his figures, he didn't ask for this huge discussion to open up on his post.

How would you feel if you made a sales post, received a ton of notifications that you thought people were expressing interest when really all those notifications were just people ranting. I know I'd be disappointed and probably annoyed as well!

I just think if you want to discuss this, start your own blog for discussion.

I totally agree with you. Here's the thing, I actually do click on every single sales ad that pops up on here because sometimes users end up having figures that I never knew existed and really want.

I contacted room26 about two figures that I ended up buying. He responded promptly and was very pleasant to talk with.

Well, I have had serious trouble buying from someone here who wasn't a new user, had multiple sale ads but not excessively many, and had an ok reputation, many friends, etc...
Ever since the feedback of transactions have been removed from the site, no one will ever know what happened in that particular transaction, or any others, so buying through this site is risky. On the other hand, I did buy good figures at good prices from other people, so it's not all bad, it's just risky. But if anything goes wrong, as long as you actually pay attention and notice the problem, you'll either get refunded or can file a claim to Paypal about it (not that I ever needed to, the sellers always refunded to avoid getting into trouble at Paypal, both when buying here and on ebay).
Overall, out of about 5-6 transactions on MFC, there were only 2 problem cases, one where the seller tried to scam me out of money by adding a fake 10 euros to the shipping cost, which I easily noticed, and sending a figure with one of the base pegs broken, and another one where the packing was not properly done and some parts broke off (but at least the more important ones I could fix with super glue). I got a satisfying amount of refund in both cases.

And to be more on topic, how much for that Griffon Alice Margatroid? If it's very very cheap, I might buy it. Feel free to PM me an offer. I live in Hungary so include shipping to there, preferably by registered mail, I don't want it to get lost.

meteorstormed (1 year ago) #1088080Exactly this. This is a site that promotes the buying and selling of figures. That should be the end of it.

Disagree. This is a site that promotes figure collecting and interaction between collectors. Buying and selling figures is a secondary side effect of such interactions. You can see that reflected on the lack of a front-page shop section, and how MFC requires some user commitment (subscription) to access sale-related features.

I'd rather buy and sell figures to fellow collectors with a stablished profile and reputation, and I wish it would be easier to buy and sell in here. On the other hand, making it too easy to sell figures will lead to a flood of sale-only accounts of questionable origin. And once money gets too involved, problem comes in.

To be honest, I'm very skeptical when someone new signs to only sell his items, especially here. The way I take this would be the same as I go on Ebay, and with no credible recommendations or enough time spent here discourages me buying someone from those individuals. All I can say is buyers beware.

I'm in the opinion that most of the Sale blog entry are a little bit of an abuse of this site. Specially when you have sites dedicated like ebay or your local auction site.

Now, I have used the shop feature once, and I have one entry currently, and I have used ebay once too. All of those option have work well for me. But, people have to admit, selling a whole collection is more than a stretch, for not saying that it sounds like a childish decision of sorts. If someone is to sell the entire collection of 50+ figures, then they should go to ebay or your local auction site for sure, not here.

Along with the "help!!!! I need to Cancel nao" blogs, I'm also in the opinion that this is getting a little bit annoying. Not because what others post is better, but because it promotes a bad culture among fellow hobbyist here, and also it gives a bad image to the hobby in my most sincere opinion.

People buying more than they can pay, then cancelling pre-orders, then selling entire figures, talking about there financial problems... I don't know, I feel it might even be discouraging for some who might be coming for the first time here to get started into it, and the first thing they see is someone quitting and selling entire collection. Way to go...

Also, personally that few deals I have made, I have stick as best as possible towards the persons I have sold to. However, it is my unfortunately bad experience here that, whenever I'm the one buying, the seller either backs on his/her word, does not respond to PM's, or wants to make a profit out of what they're selling (i.e. they're trying to take advantage while stating they have have have have to sell this because of xxxx urgency or financial problem). So, in order to have a better control, better to use the blood sucking fellows at ebay then.

Anyway, if the administrators ever put a poll about whether or not ban the Sale Blogs, I guess I'm on the side of not be supporting them. Just saying...

I've posted my sales ads everywhere I can think of possible. A post like this is my last resort. Even became a "supporter". Still no luck in selling most of it though :|
