Loot

iLoot ! ! (and a brief comment on AmiAm...n/a

Hi all!

Sharing my loot pictures for the first time here @ MFC!
Shoutout to MsNix for "nagging" me to do this :p

Well, here you go. (note to self: invest in a good camera. In the meantime, excuse the crappy pics quality from my camera phone):
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ebchman1348201641.jpeg

This is my latest and biggest single order from AmiAmi (10 items). EMS shipping was 11,360 yen to Australia.

Out of the box pics:
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ebchman1348201894.jpeg
Note: Koto's Batman, MF's Catherine and Alter's Saber Alter (far bottom right, still in paper wrapping, under nendo Nano) in the pic above are from HS, JUNGLE and BiJ respectively. The rest are from the big AmiAmi order.

All the older release items in the pic above are from AmiAmi's preowned:
item #5438 (Item:A / Box:A)
item #78615 (Item:A / Box:B)
item #5443 (Item:A / Box:B)
item #13587 (Item:A / Box:B)
item #12048 (Item:A / Box:A)

All the pre-owned items look good! Thank god! I was worried a bit because of other users' recent negative experince w/ AmiAmi pre-owned items (mostly B item condition).
I haven't opened them yet so I can't say for sure but at a closer inspection from outside the box, they all look MISB. Box and figures look clean (no dust), figures still wrapped in plastic and still in their blister.

Moving on to some more preliminary unboxing for my other recent orders below:
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ebchman1348201900.jpeg
From left to right:
item #91520 (MISB Plamoya sale)
item #484 ('Unopened' Mandarake)
item #3671 and item #13123 (MISB both eBay)
item #77756 (MISB HS)
item #3236 ('Unopened' Mandarake)
item #27627 (MISB from another user here @ MFC: figureitout)
item #695 ('Unopened' Mandarake)
item #64020 (MISB Anime-Export)
item #100729 (MISB BiJ)
item #34166 ('B' Item Jungle)
item #113865 (MISB Jungle)

Gotta say I'm really impressed with Mandarake, BiJ, Jungle and Plamoya's packaging. All are carefully bubble-wrapped and padded with newspaper or more bubble wrap to fill the empty spaces in the shipping boxes.

At this point, I was thinking about unboxing more but looking at the mess all over my place (see pic below), I decided otherwise.
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ebchman1348201896.jpeg

Below are some more shipping boxes I have yet to open. They contain pre-order items (no pre-owned) from AmiAmi, HS or HLJ dating back to March/April 2012. Left the boxes out in the open in the living room because no more shelf/ cabinet to store into.
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ebchman1348201898.jpeg

And, this is why I don't have anymore spare shelf/cabinet:
http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/600/ebchman1348205926.jpeg

Note#1: Forgot to take pics of more unopened shipping boxes in my 'storage' room (will add later).

Note#2: To top it all off, below are 2 unopened XL boxes I received from HLJ's holiday shipping campaign back in Christmas last year, dimension is slightly bigger than the AmiAmi box I reviewed above. (Metcard for size reference :p)

Thanks for reading this longer than expected blog about my loot!
*I'm gonna go in a corner now and think about the money 'wasted' for all this and how to eventually display all my collection*

subazoke (1 year ago) #1170044mind i ask whats your occupation? You must be making a killing for able to afford these huge orders

oh btw I think your postman must really hate you.

Sorry, not comfortable sharing my occupation :p
The postman in my area is actually pretty nice about it all considering the amount of stuff delivered to me every month :D

what you saidtext for hideebchman (2 years ago) #1139937Love all the gifs you used. They do convey your reaction perfectly :D

Hmmm... nothing concrete yet but I'm thinking about arranging my future display room similar to this user: Djibril, like so: picture #507695 SO EPIC!!
I think she uses the Billy shelves + Morebro glass doors combination from IKEA (not sure if they're available @ IKEA Melbourne) for her room.
I might throw in a few detolfs similar to your arrangement to mix it up a bit.
I have to dig into our previous comments to check those custom shop display cabinets.

If everything goes as planned, I should move around the end of the year.

Sounds great!!!

cause I think it conveys everything haha
So have you invested in ikea cabinets or are you going to buy more shop fitting display cabinet kind? I currently Have 6 detolf but one day may upgrade to a proper shop display case.
Can't wait to see what you finally end up doing :D
How long do you think it will be before the move?

mikki-malu (2 years ago) #1139325Wow, I'm speechless... OMG OMG OMG so many boxes and not opened!!! Great collection and you have so many figures I love too!

I should be sitting in the corner with you now. I roughly calculated my 2 year figure spendings a few days ago, added what I'm going to pay till the end of the year and felt a little shocked :) I could never imagine I'd spend so much. And I need a good display too...

Thanks!
I do keep a pretty accurate account on my figure spending and I agree with you. Adding up total spending on hobbies is never good for anyone's conscience :p

mikki-maluOne thing only - wouldn't it be better to open the boxes to inspect the figures, at least from the outside through the wondows, to make sure they're fine? I hear sometimes even a new figure may have imperfections or be damaged during shipping and finding that out half a year later you probably won't get refund or replacement from a shop.

Ah, that wall of unopened boxes is like Niagara of happiness ready to pour :D

Point taken. I'll see if I can open the rest of my unopened shipping boxes just to make sure all the goodies inside are fine.
