Hi! This is about this article I posted before: (mfc link)
It was about me having defects in this figure item #91377... I wasn't sure if these were enough to mail about it, as soon as I saw response that this wasn't ok and that I should mail the shop and the company, I did, though my fears of these been taken as nothing seem to become reality. I'm not quite sure though, while I agree with Alter, which reply was:
"Please contact the store of purchase.
Regular distribution if the product will be supported by the following flow.
(customers→ shop→Agency →Alter)"
This seems perfectly understandable to me, though they replied 1st than BiJ. Now, I had to mail twice BiJ as it seemed I wrote the wrong address for these issues, so I give them that. But, this was their reply, which doesn't sounds good to me:
"Hello,
We are sorry to hear about that. You can be assured that all the items we sell are brand new. If they were second-hand they would be unsealed.
We haven't heard from any other customer regarding this figure. Though those defects seem to be rather superficial, we can try to check with our supplier what can be done. However they will request the return of the full defective figure for replacement. Are you ok with that?
Sincerely,
Big in Japan"
"Rather superficial" mmm... I stated on my e-mail that while these are not that noticeable on photographs, they are when they're in your hand or display, Alvis scratch all over her nose and at the side of her face really bug me )=... "You can be assured that all the items we sell are brand new. If they were second-hand they would be unsealed." Well, my package seemed to me that it has been unsealed, as it had double tape over it, and when taking it off the one below was cut. It is always like this for me from packages from BiJ, though this time the tape looks quite weird, yellowish, like if it was really old. I always thought they opened it there for defect inspection, as I remember I once read something like that on their site (which now I can't find). But I think they left through many flaws, as it just seems as someone had dropped Alvis... "However they will request the return of the full defective figure for replacement. Are you ok with that?" mmm this doesn't sound good to me either, it sounds like they will charge me shipping all over again, besides, they already overcharged me in the shipping of this figure, it was a very small extra charge, but still, that was why I chose to pay later when I preordered, so I could get accurate shipping charge, I thought of letting it go, as it was a small charge, but more shipping charges due to these flaws? I don't know...
What should I do now? I'm thinking of mailing them back explaining the double tape thing, stating again about the scratches and flaws not being so noticeable in photographs but in display they are, and asking them about the conditions of sending back the figure to get a better one. But what if I'm asked to pay for all the shipping fees? Maybe I should start thinking how to repair this figure myself )= ... What really bums me is that none of these was cheap for me, and then to have this bad luck... I'm really worried now for items I'm waiting for, I hope they don't come out badly )= ... good thing they don't come from BiJ, now I'm sure I'm not ordering something there if I can get it at other stores.
