iSo how do these Lotteries work?n/a

I've always wondered, how do they work? Is it something that happens offline or online ? And where do they normally hold it?

Reason I'm asking this is because I have a friend going to Japan very soon, and most likely is around when item #124248 & item #124247 will be released. Me and my friend are fans of Naoto and Yosuke respectively, and we really want to know how it works, and where these lotteries happen.

As BlitzAce said, you buy tickets in a convenience store (or anime merchandise store), open it, see a letter ans get the matching prize. The only thing I can add is that most of prize items are sold in second-hand merchandise stores (there are tons of those in Akiba. handy to get a few old and rare items, but prices can bite there). But of cause that would be much more expensive than a ticket, especially if it's a hard to get A item. So it's up to you, whether to test your luck in kuji, get some cute, but unneeded stuff, or simply pay up, get the item you want, and get going.

I know tickets for persona kuji are 800y a pop if that helps. Lower letter prizes like A+ B are usually pretty hard to get, so buy a lot of tickets.

Well, I don't know how HappyKuji works, but if its anything like Ichiban Kuji, you buy a ticket slip. On the ticket slip is a piece that you can remove in which a letter is hidden under it, much like how our scratch cards work. Each letter corresponds to a specific prize. I believe you always win something whenever you buy a ticket, but chances are you won't get the exact item you want as it is completely random. Don't quote me on this, but I believe almost all convenience stores have some sort of Kuji going on. Just go into the store and look around. The stores usually have the figures displayed and the tickets available either there on a mini stand or at the front counter. It should available as long as the stores are open and they still have prizes. I would do some research to see exactly where the Persona figures will be available. Ticket slips were 600Y when I bought them in Japan a month ago, so prices should be around there.
