SpaceDyeVest (1 year ago) #1392866Damn. You've got a lot of keychains. I'm supposin' you don't need me to pick you up a keychain souvenir when I visit Tokyo later on this month. Maybe a refrigerator magnet instead? :)

SpaceDyeVest,

Don't be ridiculous of course you can pick me up some keychains from Japan. I can never have too many and I really don't feel that I have a lot. LOL! (Mind you my husband calls my keychain collection my crack!) Any whoooo, I am behind on my Shitijiki purchases (Pencil boards) So, if I were to ask for a gift it would be pencil board and the latest Petanko rubber strap releases. LOL! When you go you have a great time and I would love to see pictures!!!!!

SNasabal (1 year ago) #1392422Ok, I think that I am getting the hang of the click you "Own" aspect of the Database. So, here comes the truth of it. The majority of my collection is of GE (Great Eastern Entertainment) keychains and if I am reading the search results correctly there are only 226 items under the category "Hanged Up" were I was told that keychains go. So, I was wondering if anyone could help me and confirm that number in the search. If, the number holds true then my GE collection alone of PVC's are over 400. (he, he, he) Yeah, it is small. I like to keep telling my husband. What is even funnier I just got in a shipment today with one GE keychain in it. Thanks for the help guys.

I hope you enjoy it here! It's nice to be able to keep track of merchandise, while at the same time meet people who share your common interest :D

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I also hope the same.

Bandai America is a foreign branch and thus is not allowed into the database since we have their Japanese branch on here. Any item in question must be Japanese in origin or FAQ...manufactured by a Japanese maker (Japanese branch only). However, since GE did partner with them to make item #147367 it's fine if you just list GE as the manufacturer. Even a simple Google search told me the item was made partially by GE. You definitely can add any item to the database if they are from a Japanese origin or manufacturer BUT yes, you must mark them as draft if you don't have information so other people can edit it. I hope this helps.

I understand. The item#147367 is a rare and discontinued item created by Bandai America before they closed and then came back. They did a collaboration with GE but even GE no longer has the series in it's database. I have a lot of rare/discontinued items should I input them in as drafts? Or, will I have to not include them due to lack of information? It would really cut into my collection if I had to leave my rare & discontinued items out. I've learned the hard way that the items I collect are sold for a very short time and there aren't that many produced. Collecting them really hasn't caught on by no means and so the information around their creation and release dates are erased once quantities are sold out in most cases.

SNasabal (1 year ago) #1392321Thanks Muntoe. I am making sure to use the search and I am not finding the actual pictures of my items that are in my collection in your database so I am uploading pictures. I want to make sure to use the actual picture of my anime goods so uploading from the site I purchased or the mfc site is alright correct?Hi! If you cannot find your items in the database and you want to upload a picture in an entry then you must use an official picture. Almost all of this can be found in the FAQ as well: (mfc link)

FAQAbout official shots: Not tagged official/promotional pictures (provided by manufacturers) required. If such a picture can't be found (old items, upcoming items), you can use your own picture or a picture found on the Internet (make sure you have the photographer's authorization before uploading). Don't forget to mark your entry as draft in this case.
Jpeg (.jpg), png (.png) and gif (.gif) up to 2048x2048 pixels and 1MB.

If you are adding entries and you don't know that much please leave it as a draft (there is a little check-box at the bottom of the entry upload screen). For example, this one you uploaded item #147367 has next to no information, not even the proper character or manufacturer so it would really help if you could find info first before adding stuff.
