Readers' selection (2013-03-09)Well I've crossed that threshold once again that happens once a while when I've either Spent too much or have too much stuff laying around. One thing I hate about when I begin the Purge of items around here Is I have some sleepless nights cause I'm up pretty much attaching a value to the items that I'll be getting rid of.
During these times if I have my boxes that they'll be shipped in nearby literally taking them off the shelf and taking a photo and into the box they go and then up on ebay.
There have been some cases in the past when I was in the Purge mode that I'd sell items less than a hour or even 15 minutes after I put it up.
Just times like this once I get over the question of "Do I really need this stuff?" and "What do I want to keep?" the purge usually starts and I'll have cleaned out an entire shelf or box of stuff that's been laying around for a while.
Odd thing lately is that I've been dealing with another question of "Why the heck did I even buy it if I'm going to get rid of it before I even use it or open it?"
Reasons behind these Purges is simple: It's needed to maintain balance in the collection in terms of having too much of stuff that's just there and when that happens I usually cut down to the stuff I really like.
I know a lot of you probably will usually say "I'll never sell my figures."
But Lately been finding that there's just too much stuff here that I don't use,work with,or even bother with and it just sits there and that's pretty much funds right there I can use to cut down my deficit plus cover any pre-orders that are coming out.
March is going to be the 2013 Collection Purge month it seems not sure when it'll stop but I figure once I get this collection's size down even more I won't feel like this place is crowded or that I'm out of space.
Anyone else Purge or Downsize their collections often?
