iGetting real tired of your crap Kotobu...n/a

They REALLY need to learn supply and demand. I haven't been lurking on MFC for a while but seeing Daisy only last 5 hours tops everywhere makes me sick in the stomach.

If they want to be the next Alter, (which they are pretty damn close) they can't just kick around collectors like this. I swear 90% of pre orders from these bastards have only lasted under 12 hours which is pathetic. It's getting worse than MegaHouse and that's BAD.

I grab their pre-orderes all the time, they're pretty hard to miss, especially if you check amiami constantly, or have the figure in question on your figinstock.

AstralFrost (1 year ago) #1600985I wouldn't call Koto close to Alter just yet. I own 40 of their figures and there are only a handful of those that I'd place anywhere near Alter quality. I will admit that they've been improving though. Their latest Asuka item #141607 is really well done and the quality control is spot on with my expectations.
If you want to pick up Kotobukiya figures I'd suggest lurking on Amiami every day at about refresh time when the figures go up for order. They only last about an hour or two.
Best of luck.

Got o agree koto has their spot on figs but have had plenty from them that were not that great, not crappy like taito or so but you get te idea

Im also angry and considering to order locally for 89 euros

I think nega means next Alter as in, Alter tier, not in terms of supply.

In any case, I feel you. The last Koto figure I was looking to pre-order got mussed around so much I gave up.

shinhawk (1 year ago) #1599968Even though pre-orders for Yui Takamura(item #78535) sold out soon after they opened up, more spaces open up periodically. Sounds like you're overreacting and making a mountain out of a molehill.

Yup, just chill and wait, she should be available soon enough

Kotobukiya has factories on nearly every continent. If you look at a local store you might be surprised. I always find that the prices between here and Japan are very close in comparison to ALTER or GSC.

Just because she's sold out doesn't mean there won't be more opportunities to order her. Koto's last Kuroneko figure got sold out on AmiAmi about three different times as I recall. Plus, Kotobukiya needs to make profit, and having massive overruns of unsold stock isn't going to work; in a niche market like figure manufacturing, a little bit of scarcity is your friend from the manufacturer's point of view. And, there's always the secondary market if worse comes to worse.
