Been uploading a crap ton of old photos to Flickr recently and started tagging the TYPE-MOON stuff... I've found doing blog post reviews quite time consuming, so unless it's a really special item, I'll probably just upload photos to Flickr instead of writing full reviews.

So far I have all the games and music CDs up, most of the plushies, only a few Takeuchi doujinshis, and just my Fate figures. Still have a crap ton of doujinshis/manga/artbooks to add as well as the rest of my TYPE-MOON figures (Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai, CANAAN, etc.) but eventually everything in my TYPE-MOON collection will be photo'd and uploaded to Flickr.

Not really. TM just announced the first volume this week.

Thank God they decided on red hair. That is an awful shade of blue.

Keripo (7 months ago) #2017402Yes, they are the doujinshi version released and sold at Comiket 61: 空の境界 (上) (ext link) and 空の境界 (下) (ext link).
They more or less have the same content as what you'd see if you buy the newer versions sold in stores right now published by Kodansha (ext link) except with Takeuchi's old artwork (notice Touko Aozaki's original blue-haired design). Apparently a very small handful of earlier versions were released as 3 separate volumes at Comitia 48 and Comiket 56 (as the Nasu-Takeuchi duo's very first release under Bamboo Broom circle), but I've yet to see pics or any info about them other than being referenced at (ext link)

LOL. Thanks for enriching my knowledge of TM pre-commercial days.
On a related note, the old design for Touko didn't go to waste and was instead used for her cameo appearance in Fate/Extra. I remember her making a snorty comment in the game regarding her change of haircolor.

Regarding those books...could they be the original light novels of the KnK movies =O

Upcoming anime featuring Takeuchi character designs. Not a TYPE-MOON original, afaik, and not related to Takeuchi's Valkyrie NEAV SAGA doujinshis.

Btw, do you know what the thing with Iri is in this picture (ext link)?

No clue, but given that it's in the DVD/BD section, maybe a postcard/poster?

dymitr (8 months ago) #1967467That boxset looks awesome. Quite the nice line-up you have there. Tell me, did you also finish playing all of them or did you only play the first version of F/SN.
I've some questions regarding the fact that these games constant get rereleases.
Are the included version of Hollow/Ataraxia and F/SN the same as the previous versions or have they been refined, and if so in what way? I'm assuming they only have japanese txt and no english translation included. Can I safely assume that. And if that is the case and the game has been refurbished, do the translations provided by Mirror-Moon still work?
The box artbook is great. Care to give a in-depth review on the newly included reserve bonus(F/Art Chronicle)

To be honest... I still haven't properly played any of the routes other than Fate >_< (I read the spoilers/walkthroughs though, just haven't gotten time to sit down and marathon through all the games). Quite an embarrassment, I admit :P

The following are ALL the versions of Fate games released (minus spinoffs) that I know of, in chronological order (the ones that include a "*" are the ones I own):

Fate/stay night (Trial) [PC]
First 3 days of game only
Fate/stay night (First Press) [PC]*
Full 18+ game as 3 CDs, no voice-overs, bonus "Fate/side material" info book
Fate/stay night (Regular Edition) [PC]*
Full 18+ game as 3 CDs, no voice-overs, no bonus
Fate/stay night (DVD Edition) [PC]*
Full 18+ game as 1 DVD, no voice-overs, no bonus
Fate/hollow ataraxia (Trial) [PC]
Not sure, but only some parts of the bonus game content?
Fate/hollow ataraxia (First Press) [PC]*
Full 18+ game as 1 DVD, no voice overs, bonus set of 8 Servant cards, bonus phone card
Fate/hollow ataraxia (Regular Edition) [PC]
Full 18+ game as 1 DVD, no voice overs, no bonus
Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] (Limited Edition) [PS2]
Non-18+ game as 1 PS2 CD, with voice overs, bonus とびだせ!トラぶる花札道中記 PSP UMD, bonus "Fate/side side materiale 3" artbook, bonus post card, more bonuses I'm not sure about
Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] (Extra Edition) [PS2]*
Non-18+ game as 1 PS2 CD, with voice overs, bonus とびだせ!トラぶる花札道中記 PSP UMD
Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] (Regular Edition) [PS2]
Non-18+ game as 1 PS2 CD, with voice overs, no bonus
Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] (PS2 The Best Edition) [PS2]
Non-18+ game as 1 PS2 CD, with voice overs, no bonus
Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] (Regular Edition) [PSVita]
Non-18+ game as 1 PSVita card, with voice overs, no bonus
Fate/stay night + hollow/ataraxia (Limited Edition)*
Full 18+ games as 2 DVDs (no voice overs for either I don't believe), bonus "Fate/side material" info book, bonus "Fate/Art Chronicle" artbook
Fate/hollow ataraxia (Regular Edition) [PSVita]
Announced, who knows when it'll come out, but it'll probably be like [Réalta Nua] with all 18+ content removed and with voice-overs

As far as I know, the original CG's have not been altered, even with Realta Nua. My guess is that this new boxset also uses the same CGs. I haven't opened my box yet and might not for a while (when the day comes, I'll be doing a marathon of each and every game, i.e. Tsukihime, Fate/stay night, Fate/hollow ataraxia, Melty Blood Act Cadenza, and Mahouyo), but I'm sure scans will pop up soon.

I'll take one later with the complete set of TYPE-MOON PC game boxes (Tsukibako, Mahouyo, Melty Blood). With this and the also recently arrived Melty Blood Re-ACT Trial Edition CD, I'm going to have to make an updated TYPE-MOON PC Game Collection blog post.
On a side note, recently won a Yahoo Auctions Japan auction for the C61 doujinshi versions of Kara no Kyoukai, but I'm still interested in hunting down the very first printed versions (Vol 1 at Comitia 48 and Vol 2-3 at C56). Anyone have any info on them or at least pics of their covers so I can know what to look for when hunting?
