RevolTech Fanaticsn/a
This is a club for all fans of Revoltech action figures!

What is Revoltech:
The Revoltech line is an action figure line from the Japanese company Kaiyodo. The main selling point of the line is the 'Revolver' joint, which all of the figures utilize. This gives the figures a high degree of articulation, allowing for many dynamic and varied poses. Another unique element of the Revolver joint is that it makes the figures modular, and you can swap parts among Revoltech figures (so you could make an Optimus-Lagann, or an EVA-Yotsuba if you wanted). The Revoltech line was first premiered in May 2006, and since then, posable figures (both Revoltechs and other lines such as Figma and Robot Damashii) have become quite popular, with most major manufacturers now producing their own lines of posable figures.
Types of Revoltech:
The Revoltech line covers an assortment of franchises across different media. Here are the current lines:
Yamaguchi - The first and largest line, introduced in 2006 and named after its sculptor. Yamaguchi Revoltechs mainly cover mecha (including mecha from Evangelion, Transformers, Macross, Gurren Lagann, and more), but the line occasionally features non-mecha characters (from franchises including Dokodemo Issyo, Gloomy Bear, and Sengoku Basara).
Mini - Miniature versions of assorted Yamaguchi Revoltechs.
2G - This line is unnumbered, and comparatively small. It includes characters from Yotsuba&! and Fate/Stay Night, among others.
Fräulein - Meaning "little miss" or "young lady" in German, this line focuses on humanoid female characters. Fräuleins are slightly larger than most Revoltechs, and include characters from series including Evangelion, THE IDOLM@STER, and Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.
Hokuto no Ken Revolution - This series features characters from the classic manga/anime Fist of the North Star. It made its debut in September of 2008.
Street Fighter Online - This series of Revoltechs, featuring Street Fighter characters, was released in October 2008. SFO Revoltechs are smaller than most Revoltechs.
Queen's Blade - Released in 2009, this series of Revoltech figures (based on the ecchi-combat anime of the same name) is the only cast-offable Revoltech line thus far. Like the Fräulein Revoltechs, they're slightly larger than most (being roughly in scale with the Figma line).
Revoltech Sci-Fi - This line, coming out later this year, features iconic movie characters from Japanese and American films, including Daimajin, Alien, Batman, Gamera, and Jack Skellington.
Assemble Borg - The Revolver Joint was originally developed for this line, which is the only one to truly emphasize the modular aspect of the joint. It exclusively features original characters, and places a strong emphasis on creating your own figures. As of this writing, the line is currently only available at Kaiyodo's official store.
Revoltech Muv Luv Alternative - A line of giant robots based on a series of Japanese visual novels.
Pixar Figure Collection - A new line that will begin at the end of 2011, it will consist of figure taken from Pixar movies.

I brought up a new shelf for my Revoltech this morning. Until now, I had 300 Revo in 2 shelves and they were all next to one other... Now, it feels like there is too many free space (or maybe that's because I don't have enought Revoltech :D). I'll take some pictures one day!
Allow me to jaw-drop at your collection after you take those photos.

Alright, I've just finished updating the Revoltech listing: (mfc link) I created the thread more than a year ago and forgot to update it... There are still a few missing ones, but well... And I'll try to update it more regularly now!

@Spartan
Yep, my first Revoltech ended up being Aldra. And I am liking her a lot!!
I was a little paranoid about loose joints at first, but they weren't so bad after all. A little loose, but it make parts-changing rather easy. *cough* And cast-off is wonderful! *cough*
The only real down point (to me) was the stand. I couldn't get it to hold Aldra firmly in position. Lucky thing I got a di:stage base to spare, and used that instead.
I am looking forward to getting more Revoltech figures in the near future.
