Amazon JP is one of the largest online stores that caters to the country (if not the largest). Similar to other Amazon sites, they have tons and tons of stuff, including things that have been long sold out in the usual stores and even a few exclusives. Check around the shop and see if you find anything!

Amazon JP has an English-language browsing option, but it's somewhat limited. Therefore, it's recommended to browse the website using Google translator or if you have Google Chrome, it translates automatically without any plugins! ^^

There are no proxy fees required in this group order, as I'm ordering with my own account! Since Amazon uses flat rates for shipping, those fees will simply be divided among everyone based on what they purchase. You can get an idea of shipping & handling charges here.

As noted above, besides Google translation, Amazon has some English-language browsing options. For regular orders: Amazon JP will only post the lowest new price on an item's main page. In cases where Amazon's isn't the lowest, check the "# new" link under "More Buying Choices" at the right and look for a listing from Amazon.co.jp. If one is there, that item can be ordered:

Shipping and Handling, Part One - Shipping from Amazon JP to Me (regular orders only)

REGULAR ORDERS: Amazon.co.jp charges a flat rate and only ships via DHL overseas. For books and videos sent to North America, this is 2,700 yen per shipment, and 300 yen per item (the flat rate is less for CDs, but any combo of items is given the higher rate). This seems expensive at first glance, but keep in mind that unlike with SAL and EMS, weight is not an issue, which is why Amazon JP is a great option for ordering several heavy artbooks, magazines, and box sets at one time!

For these group orders, there's generally been a minimum of 10 items, which means 570 yen per item for shipping. If more items get ordered, that rate goes even lower.

PROXY ORDERS: Shipping will be via EMS and divided by weight, much like any other split here. Proxy fees will be divided based on the items' prices. Many items on Amazon.co.jp have free domestic shipping, but for those that don't, you're responsible for covering those expensives for your part of the order.

Shipping and Handling, Part Two - Shipping from Me to You

Media items (books, magazines, videos, and music) destined for United States addresses will be sent via Media Mail, which is the cheapest option for such items. As an example, a five-pound package sent this way would be $4.05. Other shipping options (Parcel Post, Priority Mail, etc.) are available by request, but keep in mind that for books and magazines, it will be much more expensive than Media Mail. Note that because of postal restrictions, orders containing non-media items can NOT be sent via Media Mail.

Anything shipped outside of the US will be sent via the least expensive method available (typically flat-rate Priority Mail Int'l). Keep in mind that manga magazines are THICK, and only one can fit in a flat-rate envelope!

If you want to use a different shipping method; get tracking, insurance, or other services; and/or have a specific customs-related request, just ask!

Insurance is highly recommended for expensive orders! I'm sorry, but I can't be held responsible for lost packages.

Odds and Ends

- Payments for regular orders will be made in USD, and invoiced accordingly. If the rate ends up being higher or lower, the difference will be adjusted on your shipping invoice.

- Payments for proxy orders will be made in JPY using the current club rate. Again, if the rate ends up being higher or lower, the difference will be adjusted on your shipping invoice.

- Amazon JP's product listings typically include 5% sales tax. Regular orders will not have to pay this tax, but items ordered via proxy are of course subject to it.

- About Amazon Points: If you are familiar with CDJapan's point system, Amazon's is similar to that: certain things you buy at the site earns you points which can be redeemed toward future purchases. As decided via poll in an earlier Amazon JP thread, our points will be applied toward shipping costs (divided per-item).

- Preorders that aren't out by the deadline are discouraged: For in-stock and restock items, Amazon allows payment in either USD or JPY. For preorders, the only option is JPY, which (unlike with USD) means foreign transaction fees for the entire order. Thus, unless you're worried about something selling out right away (which tends to happen rarely), please try to avoid far-in-advance preorder items whenever possible.

- Reminders about the deadline will be posted a week in advance.

Sorry if I'm missing this somewhere but would it be cheaper to go through this group order than to just order the CD I want?

If you have to get the CD from Amazon JP for whatever reason, it's likely to be cheaper via group order. Here are their overseas shipping rates; as you can see, shipping and handling to North America for one CD would be 2,000 yen. Hope this helps :)

The CD is only available on a few obscure sites and Amazon.jp but since just ordering it will be about $50 (shipping included) I guess this would be a better route of obtaining it.

Yep, just proxy. In those cases, the shipping should be listed (and if the seller is Amazon, it's usually free).

Hmm I'm new to this xD
But I was wondering if I would order this one through proxy (ext link) how much would it roughly cost me to get it to Belgium? Cause then I can see if I can get enough money by the end of the month xD

If Amazon's shipping weight is accurate, it would cost about US $19.45 to ship from me to you. EMS shipping from Japan would be another expense, and I can't calculate that without knowing what everyone else's stuff would weigh.
