YES YES YES YES (and I'm not having an orgasm but I am totally agreeing!)
Fuk man: I was just about to post the exact same thing!
BS isn't it. Rerelease Franky Max already! Megahouse are jus trying to ruin the collectors market, but why? It was really great ( and helpfull :-) being able to justify the expensive buying price of their Ex mod and Gem figs because they really can climb in value. But these re re releases stuff that and also each one was a chance missed to introduce another character to the collection. I completely understand that people want a figure and want it cheap but really life's not like that so if you missed out then you gotta pay (I sure have) or SAY NO or be happy with the characters new pose. Alternatively there are plenty of cheaper variations of any anime character so there's not really a need to stuff up the collections of those who have loyally followed and supported an anime by collecting figures from these lines, just because a newbie wants one cheaper is there?
Just wish there was a way to get Megahouse to stop and rethink this process?!?!
Also aren't Megahouse supposed to destroy moulds once a figure has had it's run?
Polls are largely crap because they don't reflect long-term collectors wishes, they are much more likely to be influenced by newbies. Exactly why we just get the same old main characters. Look at the last poll for Gintama, a total joke!
(Poll Dancing is good tho :-)

So, I've been thinking of ways Megahouse could vastly improve their P.O.P line and have a better image with collectors.

Firstly, Megahouse should differentiate between first edition releases and their reprints. I think first editions should have that label on the box and maybe even a cool image on the bottom of each base indicating it is a first issue. Second editions should have reissue 1 on the box, third reissue 2, and so on. This will allow those who put their money down on figures first and the most "hardcore" of fans to at least have something to make up for future re-releases potentially devaluing their figures.

Secondly, Limited Editions must stay LIMITED. They should have a set number of figures made and this indicated on the bottom of each base. For example, someone could have number 357/2500 of X figure. They should not be reprinted and quality control needs to be extremely high. There should be no errors, as this is a 1 time printing and then it's done for good. Now, I'm not complaining about the recent poll they are having as Franky should never have been limited in the first place. Regular Straw Hat figures should not be limited, but something like Mugiwara Nami Limited is fine.

Thirdly, 1.5 models for the newest figures should never ever happen. Quality must be the maintained high on all new figures, to ensure people that they will not have an inferior version of the same figure. 1.5 reprints of older figures is fine, but it should end there.

Lastly, keep figure boxes as compact as possible. There is no need for massive boxes hiking up shipping prices and taking up way too much space. This will encourage more sales of a figure, as shipping prices will not scare away customers and also some customers will no longer be forced to throw away their boxes.

If Megahouse announced something like this, then I think it would receive massive amounts of praise. It would make sure that their figures keep their value or go up, they would sell more figures, and their overall image would be extremely positive.

Hey guys, what do y'all think about Trafalgar Law V2.0 vs the V1.0 from the Sailing Again series?
Question is would you guys go for both of them or settle for 1. If so, which one would be the choice?

Mantis (2 years ago) #2212174Hi guys im thinking about getting a few pre owned POP's from AmiAmi can nyone give me ny feedback as to what the quality is like on their pre owned items?

It depends on the item classification. Check them out : View spoilerHide spoilerS: New - Guaranteed to be unused and unopened.
A: Like New - Item is sealed and is unopened or appears to be unopened.
A-: Like New - Item is not sealed by the maker but appears to be unopened.
B+: Very Good - Item has been opened but does not contain any signs of damage. All parts are included.
B: Good - Item has been opened and contains signs of minor wear or damage. All parts are included.
C: Acceptable - Opened item with conspicuous damage. Parts may be missing.
J: Unacceptable - Item is missing parts and/or is severely damaged.

I would say S, A, A- and B+ are like you're buying a new one. Items classified as B are usually in excellent conditions. Although Amiami says B cointains 'signs of minor wear or damage', i couldn't see any kind of damage on any B item i bought from them, so basically these damages they refer to are minimum, almost undetectable. I have never bought any C or J item, but when they classify as those, they always put what the 'conspicious damage' especifically is on the item's page :)

This is a surprisingly dead club given how many P.O.P collectors and One Piece fans there are and that goes for all the other OP clubs considering how many members there are too compared to the Naruto Collectors activity. Well for no reason my top 5 favorite owned P.O.Ps.
