Welcome and have fun !

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since August 4, 1997; the individual chapters are being published in tankōbon volumes by Shueisha, with the first released on December 24, 1997, and the 74th volume released as of June 2014. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a young man whose body gains the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit, and his diverse crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates. Luffy explores the ocean in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as One Piece in order to become the next Pirate King.

The chapters have been adapted into an original video animation (OVA) produced by Production I.G in 1998, and an anime series produced by Toei Animation, which began broadcasting in Japan in 1999. Since then, the still continuing series has aired over 600 episodes. Additionally, Toei has developed eleven animated feature films, two OVA's, and five television specials. Several companies have developed various types of merchandising such as a trading card game, and a large number of video games.

The manga series was licensed for an English language release in North America by Viz Media, in the United Kingdom by Gollancz Manga, and in Australia and New Zealand by Madman Entertainment. The anime series has been licensed by Funimation Entertainment for an English-language release in North America, although the series was originally licensed and distributed by 4Kids Entertainment.

One Piece has received wide critical acclaim, primarily for its art, characterization, humor and story. Several volumes of the manga have broken publishing records, including highest initial print run of any book in Japan and the first book to sell over three million copies in Oricon history. As of 2013, the series had over 345 million volumes in circulation worldwide, making it the best-selling manga series in history.

Hi I'm new to MFC so I'm not really sure where to put this.
I assumed a one piece fan club would be a good place to start.

Does anyone know where to get this figure?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's the real deal, it looks nice for a prize figure. I think some of my figures from Banpresto came in pieces with their own individual bags. Prizes can be a bit of a gamble, paint and such might not be perfect. Honestly though, I wouldn't mind having that Smoker in my collection. :]

Thank you :D

Hi guys,
I have another authenticity question (sorry I'm a newbie). I heard great things about the Grandline Men series so I bought Smoker item #145262

Bought off eBay for a great price as New. The first red flag was that the packaging for the pieces were wrong; each piece had it's own individual bag instead of the one strip of plastic with different sections. The seller claims they bought the figures as a lot in Japan and never bothered opening the box to see if it was used but repackaged.

The sculpt is amazing and the face details are great but the paint job is a bit messy elsewhere. His hair on top is two toned. The belt loops on his coat and the zippers are heavy handed. His jutte seems to be missing paint on the handle. There's a tiny dot of black on his chest and a tiny tan dot on his coat near the cigars. The edge of the cigars (facing towards the chest) is also missing some brown paint.

Maybe my expectations were to high or it's a halfway decent fake? I'm not usually so nit-picky on figures since I mostly buy trading but I just keep noticing tiny imperfections on him.

thiago_0107 (2 months ago) #3080523Don't worry, most of the Styling figures come as a pack in a outer brown box, and only this outer box come with the TOEI sticker. Some sellers buy these Packs and sell them individually in their inner boxes (probably the ones you have), which come with no sticker.
For example: (ext link)
The figures shown there all come in their inner boxes (no stickers), and 10 of these come in an even bigger outer box (with sticker) =)

Thank you!

WrestlingDonuts (2 months ago) #3078788Hello~
I have a question about the Styling figures. Has anyone bought a Styling figure without the Toei sticker and it was authentic?
I bought the Sir Crocodile Super One Piece Styling EX ~Adversary~ and the Mihawk Super One Piece Styling Wanted both new in box. Crocodile was bought off Yahoo Auction Japan through a proxy. Mihawk was bought off eBay from a user in Japan with 100% feedback.
The box images look high quality. The figure pieces were all separated and within the appropriate plastic wrapping. Paint jobs look good. Each figure came with a piece of candy. The only problem is neither had the Toei sticker.
Hopefully, I'll be able to take some pics so others can judge (my camera is terrible) but the lack of a sticker is really freaking me out.
