Hello,

I live in Tokyo and I run a small proxy service.

I'm specialised in Ball Joint Dolls, but I also do Pokemon center Proxy, and almost all Akihabara Shops.

Please send me the exact reference of the item(s) you're looking for.

Feel free to drop me a mail!

If you have several things you're wanting to buy from the one store, probably try to find a service that charges per store rather than per individual item. For the older series maybe try Mandarake or Surugaya?

I've never used a proxy so I wouldn't even know where to look. Which ones do you recommend for going in stores?

That's a bit tough. Previously I'd been using JPN-Depot for a lot of my forwarding and proxy orders. They used to be very quick and efficient and very reasonably priced, but they've gotten slower and slower lately, and even lost a couple of customers' orders. Plus I've had trouble getting refunds from them for things they failed to buy. I've gone back to zenmarket for yahoo auctions, despite having them mess up one of my orders in the past, since I mostly buy cheap items off of there I figure I'll still probably come out ahead even if they do screw something up, but I won't place shop orders with them anymore (as that's what they messed up in the past, and pretty much refused to take any responsibility for it). So I suppose I'm feeling a bit jaded about proxies lately, lol. I've been using Big in Japan for forwarding and will probably keep doing that as they seem to be very efficient, but yeah, otherwise I'm pretty much between proxies and on the lookout for a new one for things other than Yahoo Auctions.

Pretty sure that all of them will buy from stores, it just depends how they calculate the costs - is it per item, per order, per store etc. Sorry I can't be more help.

Is there any proxy on here that would be willing to pay for an order at a convenience store in Japan after I send you the amount on PayPal? The website that I'd like to order from only takes convenience store payments for this set of goods. I have a forwarder address all set, just have no way to pay for the order. I'd of course pay proxy fees for this service.

This is a kind of odd request and I hope it’s allowed. I’m looking for someone who lives in CA near a frys store that can pick up a blu-ray for me. It’s currently on sale for $20 but it’s local pick up only. My friend lives near the San Jose one and they were useless and didn’t have the item I wanted even tho their store said they did. So if someone lives near one and wouldn’t mind helping me out I’d appreciate it.

For anyone wondering about saving a few yen by using JPN-Depot for YJA, DON'T.

1. Their deposit system currently doesn't work. It gives this error: [ext link ] and always shows $0 when trying to confirm a deposit. This means you have to pay for each item you want to bid on via Paypal which will cost more.

2. My bid was never placed! Under their FAQ for auctions they state: JPN-Depot"We cannot promise 100% but we can take care of auctions that are ending soon. but we appreciate if you could create a bidding request at least one hour before it ends." I placed my bid 9hrs before it ended yet nothing happened.

Thankfully the item I wanted ended with no bids so I'm gonna try to get it via Zenmarket instead if the seller lets me but its frustrating no bid was even made. I'm in the process of getting a refund via Paypal but since they don't work weekends* I have not heard back from JPN-Depot.

*I do not know if me bidding and the auction ending on a Saturday is why this happened but if so their site should alert users that they, unlike other services, can't make bids on the weekend.

Yes, their YJA system is terrible, I feel your pain. Ages ago before JPN-depot exploded in popularity, I actually successfully used them a few times to buy YJA items from sellers who wouldn't deal with proxies (guess whatever bid system they were using got under the proxy-detector radar). Earlier this year when I tried to do the same thing it didn't work. That wasn't a huge issue, but it took ages for JPN-depot to give me my money back, they ignored me for like a month or two even though I had other orders being shipped, ignored requests to have the deposit applied to shipping fees etc. for other things I'd bought. Eventually they gave me a refund, but did it in such a way that Paypal ended up taking a cut of the refund money from me, plus I lost more along the way with conversion fees etc. I kind of don't trust them anymore anyway after hearing horror stories about them losing people's orders. It's a shame, as when I first started using them they were excellent.

Some proxy services that advertise automated "sniper services" aren't actually automated by their bidding system. They just schedule bids and someone over there will manually place them.

Thats awful, even though I got all my money back a few days ago I really won't be using them now and would suggest you don't either. Its just too risky.

Thankfully no one bid on the item I wanted (its a repaint so I couldn't have just found it elsewhere) so since my former go to, J-subculture, is charging too much I'm using Zenmarket and have already won another auction using them with no issue....yet.
