Figure shop and site reviewFigure shop and site reviewThis club is for discussion and shop & site related questions.

Hi I started this club so that people could discuss the shops and sites they use to buy figures. Please add a new discussion for the shop/site you want to talk about since it will make it easier for other people to find information on this shop/site in the future.

Please leave appropriate feedback for stores here:

MFC Shops Feedback & Rating Pages
This club is dedicated to web based anime/figure ...ect shops for physical ("brick and mortar") stores please visit Local Shopping Guides

Update: We are updating/editing all first posts on threads to provide more uniform/detailed information on each entry featured and removing the poll section as feedback can now be left for each shop in our MFC shop section. (mfc link)

4Arnd (1 day ago) #2329070So far as I got it from various conversations I've seen in the shop thread, they actually charge you the tax when using the transi-logistic method. So you wouldn't be better off in the grand scheme of things.
That's right, NY is indeed obliged to charge 20% French VAT when shipping items from their French warehouse to other destinations in the EU.

As a lots of people talk seems that Nippon-Yasan is the worst online shop of the world.
Well, from which shop you recommend to preorder between Big In Japan and Anime-Export? Both shops lower the value on the bill for avoid Customs taxes.
Last year I bought from AmiAmi but I don't want pay the high and wrongful italian Customs taxes anymore!!!

Jordan (1 day ago) #2328919WOW!!! It seems a terrible shop. I'm interested to preorder on this site because they have a shipping method, the "trasi-logistic" shipment, for avoid the Customs taxes.
Now I think to preorder on Big In Japan because they lower the value on the bill.

Ok I joined the club and then replied to the comments. I'm guessing that's how it's done?

harrykim (5 days ago) #2323075View spoilerHide spoilerHaving a major issue with MBT, MIO Boutique. I just got a notification regarding a shipping method. They attached a PDF showing the different prices. So I chose the 1280 yen price of SAL. Then I get a payment Paypal request from them for 2099 yen. So I was confused and sent them an email explaining that I just wanted SAL, not registered SAL
So then they retracted the Paypal request and sent me an email saying "We do not accept any other shipping method than those specified on our website."
So then I sent another email saying sorry I meant to choose the SAL option for only 1280 yen. -> actual email quote I sent them:
"Sorry! I meant to change the shipping to SAL which is 1280 YEN, not registered. Can you re-send me the paypal invoice with SAL shipping?

Sorry for the confusion I apologize! Thanks!"
Then they sent a refund with Paypal and said the following:
Subject:
Your Order - Kantai Collection : Kan Colle - Shimakaze - Hobby Japan Exclusive - Ref : F4156 - is Canceled

Note:
Hi, Our records show that we have not yet received payment for : Kan Colle - Shimakaze - Hobby Japan Exclusive - Ref : F4156. Sorry, your order is canceled Terms and Conditions : (ext link) Your account is now closed. Sincerely MBT
WTF!? So they just cancelled my account. Then I looked over the PDF file they sent me and realized that it was SAL shipping for 1280 yen but on the bottom totals which I didn't see they add a "Registered Mail" fee for 410 yen and a "Transaction Fee" of 490 yen. So I realize why they were requesting 2099 yen. But instead of explaining those extra fees to me they just cancelled my order, sent me a Paypal refund and closed my account and I'm assuming cancelled my other order with them.
Right now I pre-paid 10049 yen for the Hasegawa Kobato Noble Blood of Night ver. Limited Edition figure and they didn't send me a Paypal refund request for that. So I'm not sure what to do. I've emailed them saying I was frustrated and they didn't explain the extra fees and just wanted more information and instead they cancel my order and close my account? Either there's a huge language barrier here or this company is not who I ever want to deal with again.
I know I was asking for the 1280 yen SAL price and that was my mistake, but they could've just explained the extra fees and why it added up to 2099 yen instead of abruptly closing my account and cancelling everything without even talking to me. I've been a great customer, bought several figures and paid for them over the last year.
What do I do? I've emailed them but haven't heard back within the last day. :(
