Figure Site and Shop ForumFigure Site and Shop ForumThis club is for discussion and shop & site related questions.

Hi I started this club so that people could discuss the shops and sites they use to buy figures. Please add a new discussion for the shop/site you want to talk about since it will make it easier for other people to find information on this shop/site in the future.

Please leave appropriate feedback for stores here:

MFC Shops Feedback & Rating Pages
This club is dedicated to web based anime/figure ...ect shops for physical ("brick and mortar") stores please visit Local Shopping Guides

Update: We are updating/editing all first posts on threads to provide more uniform/detailed information on each entry featured and removing the poll section as feedback can now be left for each shop in our MFC shop section. (mfc link)

Not necessarily a JP shop but can anyone help me with searching for stuff on tictail? I'm looking at all this fanmade merch on there of JP stuff of course but when I search for stuff, it shows zero results. I know the stuff is there because I've bought it but I guess I am somehow not using their search engine correctly, although I don't know how I am managing to do that......

Ok, just did a pre-order for an exclusive item from MyKombini, hope everything works out without problems. *keeps fingers crossed*
Has anybody else ordered from this shop before? What was your experience with them?

hikaridranz (21 days ago) #18706321I haven't bought from them yet. They're just an e-commerce platform so whether they ship internationally differ by shops. You can even open your own shop there, the only criteria is that you follow Japanese e-commerce regulations.
From the FAQ for customers, translated:
What credit card methods are accepted?
VISA, Mastercard, American Express.
* Cards issued overseas may not work
* You can also use JCB by paying through Paypal
From the FAQ for sellers, translated:
Is Paypal accepted for payment from overseas?
Yes. Paypal is highly trusted internationally, so if your shop caters to overseas customers by all means use it.
What credit cards are accepted for customers using Paypal?
VISA、MasterCard、American Express、Diners、JCB
*some cards might not work
Browsing the FAQ for sellers further, it seems that store owners can switch to 'English language-supported' if their store caters to international customers, in which case the shop will appear in English instead of Japanese, and the only payment methods accepted are credit card and Paypal (shops that cater domestically also allow cash-on-delivery, Paidy, conbini and bank transfer)
I think you'll have no problem paying by Paypal in most of the shops, so you probably will just need a forwarder for shops that don't ship internationally.

aaa Thank you so much!!! I'll try to send the shop i'm trying to buy from a message ^o^

TheAzure (2 months ago) #17315599Kirin hobby is horrible lol
They take forever and from other peoples' experiences that I've seen, have very poor communication. The orders I made were shipped to me about 2-4 months after the actual release date, though this is common for a US based shop. I never attempted to contact them about a time frame(as others did and claimed they received no replies) but when I first made my order I forgot to change my old address and they replied and fixed it right away for me so communication wasn't a problem there. All my orders made it to me safely in the end but I don't think I'd order from them again unless it was a good deal + free shipping.

Skellington (2 months ago) #17223538I normally only buy brand new figures but since seeing the amiami pre-owned section. I am considering buying some figures. But I'm a bit concerned as I don't want to buy damaged or yellowed figures. So what are your experiences with it? What grades do you recommend for the figure and the box?
Thank you for answering :)

I think damaged or yellowed figures have C grade or worse. A or B grade is fine (B grade can mean some minor wear). In case of a C grade, they also describe what is wrong with the figure. (Sometimes a part is missing but the rest of the figure is fine for example.) Personally I don't care much for boxes but A or B boxes are both fine. AmiAmi also explains their grades in the description of each pre-owned figure. Hope this helps!
