ghostmuffin (2 days ago) #9368035hi all!
i think i already know the answer to this one, but just checking... if you have all of the info for an upcoming game but there's no ISBN number for it yet, can it be added to the database as a draft (and of course updated with the ISBN once there is one), or no?
I read an alert a time ago where mods decided to keep a limited edition for a game without a code since it's uncommon for it to have been revealed before release. But for standard editions, I don't really think that's allowed. Take it with a grain of salt though.

hey :) not a big deal, but i've noticed that for the azone dolls in the db we have the character name in the title but other entries have a character in the encyclopedia. should we chose to have one or the other?

I had a question about a few first release and store exclusive items bundled with media (I know paper posters are not allowed but I am adding some cloth tapestries).

What exactly would this be considered? アニメ描き下ろし全巻収納ディスクバインダー I don't understand what this is. Some type of binder for all discs across all volumes of the anime? Pretty much like disc storage with an illustrated cover? The only similar thing I found was this (ext link) I'm not even sure what to classify this under. I was thinking I would put it under CD/DVD storage container. For reference it is from this (ext link) (first item)

If a bromide is considered 2L size, what is that exactly? I've never come across that sizing type. Would I actually put 2L as the size? Looking it up I see it is 127mmX178mm.

Is KORDER BOOK WALKER the physical store location of korder.com/a specific location? I've never even heard of that and I needed to add it in with one of the store bonus items.

Sorry if this wasn't the right place to ask >.>

Eccmy (7 days ago) #9130696paTKany gave further explanations about posters a few months ago at the Help thread when I asked about a prize poster added back then, this should help you:

Unfortunately, your posters fell into the "posters bundled with media" case (and probably the "bonus posters for first press releases" one as well), and probably were regular paper posters, not cloth or bath ones, so this explains why they were deleted.

Ah, that clears it up, especially the second link. I didn't realise paper ones were an exception on the rule (it's also not in the help/FAQ or did I miss it?).

Maakie (7 days ago) #9126040Question: Just now I got a message for multiple removed items from the database. I don't know which MOD(s) removed it (is there a way to see that?), but I was wondering the following:
A while ago, I added posters that came bundled with a Blu-Ray box. The posters are removed with the reason "No promotional posters." Considering the items are bundled bonusses (where the person has paid for the item itseld), I don't really understand why? Or is there a rule that as long as you couldn't buy the poster seperately, it's counted as promotional?

Katto (9 days ago) #9050941For media, show as much of the SFW portion of the cover as possible for the thumbnail. It shouldn't show the whole cover if it's NSFW.

Thank you! I will keep this in mind.

DCJP (9 days ago) #9050154So I have another question related to entries and the rules on MFC. I feel like the rules for inappropriate material aren't very clear and that there are many points of confusion in entries.
To my understanding, any entry with a NSFW picture must have the nsfw parts cropped out. I usually do this by just cropping a face of a character. For media, this rule still applies correct?
I noticed some entries I made were re-edited with changed crops to the full picture. I'm guessing it's okay to have a full view for media?

Hmm I'm not too sure if we have rules regarding when a base is much more significant but I've seen cases where a change in base didn't warrant another entry. The only one I can think of now is item #236321. I'm hoping some other mods can come to the rescue for this one.
