I was trying to ...

Never mind. Sorry, I got it.

For event prices where tax is included, should the tax still be removed (e.g. regular sales 2000 + tax, event price 2000 incl. tax)? Sometimes I see it excluded, sometimes not. The question's for gachapon items too.

Mekuneko (7 days ago) #13110425Ok! Thanks for clearing that. I feel conflicted about that, but doesn't really matter.
You also had a classification Speech Synthesis which I am not sure about. There are different programs for speech synthesis. Basically just the word “speech” is problematic. I unfortunately couldn't find very good links quickly, but Yuzuki Yukari is marketed as voiceroid too because she has a program for that included. I also checked wikipedia [ext link ] and seems like Yamaha has another software for speech synthesis too.

Very sorry for the late reply... (;・^・)

I've changed the classification name to "Singing Synthesis", to be separate from "non-singing" speech synthesizers, encyclopedia #109918, if that's what you meant...

As for those other Vocaloid-based things, as far as I know, those are download-only apps (and we can only add physical, packaged media to the database).

FWIW, I've already made a very rough list of most of the physical releases of Vocaloid, Voiceroid, CeVIO, and that one-off "Megpoid Talk": Google Spreadsheet. ExplanationsHideThe ones in grey are ones I don't think can be added to the database (because I haven't found a barcode, or they aren't "Japanese" enough), prices with an asterisk (*) are tax-included, and I've only added hyperlinks to some of the harder-to-find info. orz

Sekhmet (6 days ago) #13170324I really don't get the promotional posters thing, confuses me >.< I wonder if a mod can elaborate on the higher quality stock paper though? I'll hold off from adding it for now I guess. I think this one is a regular old paper poster.
Promo posters are freebies generally printed on the cheap and I can see why they aren't allowed on the DB, they'd be a mess to organize, especially event freebie posters (I think I ended up throwing out all of the ones I got).

I mentioned the stock thing because I have a poster that was bundled with a book and it's on textured stock as opposed to the normal cheap poster paper, but it's still not allowed. The "what if" was a bit rhetorical :<

Though I wonder, what if the paper is fancier stock than usual promo posters? :V

Sekhmet (7 days ago) #13126011Just a quick question regarding media items & posters since they still confuse me.
I want to add shop specific bonuses for two opening/ending theme song CDs. One of them had a paper poster as a shop bonus. am I right in thinking that type of poster is ok? I know the ones with magazines are not allowed, but I wasn't sure about paper posters with a media item.

Adamska (7 days ago) #13106715I asked if Vocaloids, etc., could be added to the database on the forums (mfc link) and was told to put them under "Games" by one of the mods (mfc link).

Mekuneko (7 days ago) #13097504Someone added a Vocaloid editor item #462255 and a voicebank item #462257 to the library. They are using the GAMES category, but are definitely not games but software to make music. Will these be allowed to the database?
