BloodFlower (3 days ago) #17631424Not sure if you already got the answer elsewhere but here goes: yes, as long as it's not media or "paper" items (things that go under the promotional items rule). The linked item is allowed in the database.

I came with a question about adding an event item, since it's got a few specifications that I wanted to be sure of.

The item in question is this. It is a badge set that was released online after a collaborative event between Pixiv and Weekly Shonen Sunday, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series "Ghost Sweeper Mikami." At the event itself, the badges were blind items, 300 yen a piece. But in the online store, it was released as a set.

Is it possible, considering the nature of this item, to add it to the database? Can it be considered an "official" item?

Hi, I'm wondering about this item item #47135 here. It's listed as book but it's only a card set with a book case. I didn't want to alert it right away but I think it should be listed under "Misc" just like the other versions :)

Kaneel (23 days ago) #17184419If it's a novel series create a new origin.
Titles in media for comics and novels are used if it's a single volume.
Whenever there are more than one volume, a series origin should be created.
The Doujinshi's can be linked to that origin then and get the different titles on top then.
Some comics and novels do get additional titles and you'll end up with an origin and a title, like the bleach mangas or the accel world novels(first examples which come to my mind).

Thanks. I thought that was the case, but I just wanted to make sure.

As far as I can tell (at least for the moment) it's just a single volume. So I take it the title field should be used until such case a that there's a second volume announced?

*bump*

Q: Should the discs / tracks / run time for music items include the contents of DVDs?

The FAQ (to me) implies "no", but item entries are inconsistent with this (and each other).

If someone could give a definitive answer, please and thank you! orz

Adamska (3 months ago) #15405606From the FAQ under "Adding music":
"Disks" is the number of discs that contain music (CDDA - Compact Disc Digital Audio).

I took this to mean that bonus DVDs that come with CDs should be excluded from the disc count, but many of these entries include them: (mfc link).

Both of these contain 1 CD and 1 DVD:
Which one is correct? ( ´_ゝ`)

I have a question that I guess would fall under the category of titles/origins.

The artist Mikami Mika's doujinshi circle Aquadrop has released a series of original character doujinshi titled "Oyasumi Sex" (there's a few titled a bit different but still part of that series), and that series is now getting turned into a light novel - [ext link ], [ext link ]

I was going to add the novel to the databse, but became stuck on whether or not an origin should be created since I've seen some novels with just a title and no origin, and subsequently whether the doujinshi would then also get linked to that origin.

The opinion of someone who knows the correct procedure in a case like this would be much appreciated.
