Maakie (2 days ago) #2319910I just found out that 2 sets of trading figures I bought turn out to be candy toys. Is that something important that should be added to the entries of those figures?

No, the fact that they are candy toys that is not quite relevant when adding, just add them with all the required/desired info (Release dates, prices, proper classification etc...)

lazymez (8 days ago) #2310548I've got two quickie questions:
1. When item has two JAN codes, one for complete boxset and one for single blindbox, which one is preferred in database?
2. Is it correct to classify rubber ballchains into "Rubber Keychain"? Description defines "Rubber mascot + key ring", but there's still many ballchains added into it, even recently. Makes me unsure.

well MY OPINION

1. Usually we add here the BOX JAN for all Items, even later you can use this same JAN to find Blind boxes alone even though they have their own JAn so preferably add the BOX ^^

2. this Often Confuses me too, but I'd go for rubber keychain this is the better classification we've got so far, actually the best option would be creating a new classification like "Rubber Mascot" or "Rubber Charm" for this kind of Items, but them all previously added Items would be without update and we would have multiple classifications :/ So for me I'd add these Items as "Rubber Keychain" ^^

Katto (1 month ago) #2245860I've personally been really busy with IRL stuff (as have other members of Staff) which is why no "final" decision has been made yet. I'll be hoping to try and get to stating the decision when things calm down again. Most of what has been agreed upon, you can assume to be correct however. Just the updating the database part takes some time ;)
No worries! As long as there are no lives at stake over here at MFC, I say take your time! :)

Pure-Lilium (1 month ago) #2242784Hey, I was wondering what type of goods Lanyards encyclopedia #24802 should be? I've noticed that some items are under apparel and some are hanged up.Since I never got a second opinion from Staff saying contrary, I'll make the decision to say Lanyards are Misc.
NitroPLUS (1 month ago) #2243204No final decision has been made regarding that, see also (mfc link).

Leosach (1 month ago) #2223631yaay I was the VIB that corrected it, my fault, you know when you go all in automatic mode? so that was me, Titles aren't used for goods the exception is when you have a non character related goods, like Schools symbols, logos etc.. which you need to add a title in order to be easier for these Items to be found, in the case of these cushions yes they should have a title as well and it was my mistake by removing it, So I just re-edited and add it.
Ah, thanks! I was just wondering since there is a biiit of a convention here, and I generally like to get it right on the first try... like a finicky database person. xD

Katto (1 month ago) #2224074Since they're only sold together officially (since one item is a bonus), it won't have a separate JAN or price - as such, you'd use the existing JAN for the main-item so you can see that it is linked together in a search. I wouldn't include the price personally for the bonus item(s).
Sorry for the late reply -- I summarised my understanding in the forum thread here: (mfc link), do let me know if that looks OK.
