Lestter (1 month ago) #2326884Lol! That's awesome! why do you think her books are so difficult to find? Yes, it's sad!

Well, her doujinshi aren't in store and the very first one, I remember that I stopped the bidding war as it reached up to 10k. ( Managed to grab a copy a few month later for cheap ). Rarity doesn't improve with time usually ^^; Each year someone is asking me if she will be present, but as far as I know, her last work was on Project Alicia by Gametree, which has also closed.

Merun (1 month ago) #2326272Late to the party but yes. All 4 doujinshi, plus the joint one with H2S04, and also a Korean magazine which had a few pages on her. Still very sad that she has disappeared :/

Lestter (8 months ago) #1967330Cool! I didn't know a club for books existed. I love books.
Does anybody here own anything by Tearfish?

Hi yeah nice idea! I collect art books and have the full set(so far) of Oda's One Piece books ending in Lion. The art knocks me out and it's a thrill to open them every time. I also have Naruto and Gintama books which are fun but the One Piece are way out front IMO.

takarayama (1 year ago) #1731110Well, people would probably not be happy if I started adding Discworld novels here on MFC. ;0
Also, I just remembered another reason for my sticking with aNobii; the book entries on the other two sites mentioned is just one big mess and it's a lot harder to add new books or correct details on them as well.
Are there any particular features you feel that you'd need besides the ability to add new books (simply add the ISBN to your collection and maybe correct the cover and that's that), tagging of books you own, and entering the state of whether you've read the book or not?
Not trying to convince anyone to sign up for anything they don't want to, just curious to see what people think. ^^
Haha very true.

For me, navigation is the big maker or breaker for a website. Then after that, for something collection related, having an already comprehensive database is a big plus (a big reason why I love MFC so much :P)

Katto (1 year ago) #1730583I personally only use MFC for all of my collectables haha! I'm forgetful so I try to centralise as much as I can. There's a few resources that look really nice to use but yeah, I'd forget to use it if it didn't have a lot of features to draw me in :PWell, people would probably not be happy if I started adding Discworld novels here on MFC. ;0

takarayama (1 year ago) #1728772Good luck with your sales, kage-ouji. I had a look but there was nothing that I wanted or not already had.
If anyone else is on aNobii, feel free to add me if you like similar books. (ext link) I don't use any community aspects of that site because I only need it to keep track of what books I own and which I have read but it would be nice to see how others use the site and what books they read and stuff. ^^:
On the topic of sites to list one's own books, what's everyone's preferences?
I, myself, prefer aNobii after having checked out GoodReads and LibraryThing. I appreciate how aNobii is so simple while still having all features I want for a book collection site. ^^
