calias (7 months ago) #20944339Got some questions about pixiv BOOTH. Is a proxy needed for it? I'm seeing more and more doujinka selling exclusive items there that I can't find on other second hand shops.
Also, should it have a thread here or would it be too general?

For goods, you need a proxy as Susanoo14 said. If it's something like a digital book though, you can buy and download it yourself :)

A proxy or forwarder is needed afaik. I've bought from booth using a credit card and had orders sent to Big in Japan for forwarding :)

Hi, i would like to preorder an item which will be released within some months using From Japan proxy service so my question is what do i have to pay in the 'Charge 1'? (item price only or even domestic shipping fee and payment fee). Thanks :).

MyKombini. Can I buy this site securely? Find the price on this site very fair, but the first time to buy, are these real?

Not necessarily a JP shop but can anyone help me with searching for stuff on tictail? I'm looking at all this fanmade merch on there of JP stuff of course but when I search for stuff, it shows zero results. I know the stuff is there because I've bought it but I guess I am somehow not using their search engine correctly, although I don't know how I am managing to do that......
Forgot to note that I messaged them and it is indeed something wrong with their search system that they are aware of and are working one apparently.

Ok, just did a pre-order for an exclusive item from MyKombini, hope everything works out without problems. *keeps fingers crossed*
Has anybody else ordered from this shop before? What was your experience with them?

hikaridranz (9 months ago) #18706321I haven't bought from them yet. They're just an e-commerce platform so whether they ship internationally differ by shops. You can even open your own shop there, the only criteria is that you follow Japanese e-commerce regulations.
From the FAQ for customers, translated:
What credit card methods are accepted?
VISA, Mastercard, American Express.
* Cards issued overseas may not work
* You can also use JCB by paying through Paypal
From the FAQ for sellers, translated:
Is Paypal accepted for payment from overseas?
Yes. Paypal is highly trusted internationally, so if your shop caters to overseas customers by all means use it.
What credit cards are accepted for customers using Paypal?
VISA、MasterCard、American Express、Diners、JCB
*some cards might not work
Browsing the FAQ for sellers further, it seems that store owners can switch to 'English language-supported' if their store caters to international customers, in which case the shop will appear in English instead of Japanese, and the only payment methods accepted are credit card and Paypal (shops that cater domestically also allow cash-on-delivery, Paidy, conbini and bank transfer)
I think you'll have no problem paying by Paypal in most of the shops, so you probably will just need a forwarder for shops that don't ship internationally.

aaa Thank you so much!!! I'll try to send the shop i'm trying to buy from a message ^o^

TheAzure (11 months ago) #17315599Kirin hobby is horrible lol
They take forever and from other peoples' experiences that I've seen, have very poor communication. The orders I made were shipped to me about 2-4 months after the actual release date, though this is common for a US based shop. I never attempted to contact them about a time frame(as others did and claimed they received no replies) but when I first made my order I forgot to change my old address and they replied and fixed it right away for me so communication wasn't a problem there. All my orders made it to me safely in the end but I don't think I'd order from them again unless it was a good deal + free shipping.

Skellington (11 months ago) #17223538I normally only buy brand new figures but since seeing the amiami pre-owned section. I am considering buying some figures. But I'm a bit concerned as I don't want to buy damaged or yellowed figures. So what are your experiences with it? What grades do you recommend for the figure and the box?
Thank you for answering :)

I think damaged or yellowed figures have C grade or worse. A or B grade is fine (B grade can mean some minor wear). In case of a C grade, they also describe what is wrong with the figure. (Sometimes a part is missing but the rest of the figure is fine for example.) Personally I don't care much for boxes but A or B boxes are both fine. AmiAmi also explains their grades in the description of each pre-owned figure. Hope this helps!

Is it just me or is nothing from Abbysecorp-direct [ext link ] orderable? All their figs just say 'Notify me when available'. Also are their prices tax included?

Orangepls (1 year ago) #16704320... and they responded saying that the estimate was based on the what their providers said. I'm not sure what I should do; should I just wait it out?

That's what every shop says. My ones in Germany too. I always wait way longer then most others. You have to bare with it or buy her somewhere else. Patience is the life of a figure hunter ^^.

Hello, I have a question about BigBadToyStore. I'm not sure if I should have created a new forum for this; I'm kind of a newbie. So I "preorded" kotobukiya Shiro from No Game No Life on BigBadToyStore in August of 2016 ([ext link ]). Back then, the estimated arrival date was August 2016. However, every month they change the estimated date to the current month along with the current year. Obviously the arrival date is completely wrong, and I'm starting to get kind of impatient, just because I have no idea when she will actually arrive. For all I know, they could just change the date for another two years. I already wrote them an email, and they responded saying that the estimate was based on the what their providers said. I'm not sure what I should do; should I just wait it out?
