I also have themed shelves (magical girls, Tony Taka, kemonomimi, school uniform...) so when there's a new figure that I like, I try to think of where it could fit.
If it doesn't fit in an existing shelf and I really want it, I just wait until I have it, and I can spend the entire day reorganizing everything to have something that I like.

But alerts are useful because there's an history you can check later and available to all users, PM not. But to do one or not, well it depends.
Here I don't think they are powered-up just 2 new designs for this new Mazinkaiser line that Good Smile just started, they showed the colored art for the 2 they already showed in early 3D stage and already announce the 2 others with those silhouettes.

Ah, well, I won't argue.

Good to know that it's possible to PM you, if the need arises. :)

I need to do elaborate displays like this with my figures. Awesome job! :D

I like figmas better than Nendoroids and I think posing them is a lot of fun but what stops me from buying more is their price, especially the most recent figma's...Maybe the quality is good but I don't like spending so much money for a figure that is so small. I could get multiple larger prize figures with the same amount of money... I still don't want to see the line disappearing though, I hope that won't happen :(

I'm more of a "Oooo, shiney!" buy it now, and figure it out later. I might try to think of a place while I'm waiting, but with scales, it's a lot harder to plan than with nendos since there is much less uniformity in size and space they'll take, and it's almost impossible to know how they'll fit until they are in my hands. I'm also not big on theming shelves, though I do have a couple like my skin shelves, my KanColle shelf, and most recently my Tsunako (Neptunia and Date A Live), Niθ (7Deadly Sins, Hyakka Ryouan, Sword and Wizards) and my Tamamo detolfs.

StarNouveau (4 months ago) #24550439god it's so hard to get these for a good price now. i seriously need these just so i can have a reference while drawing (because sometimes finding a specific pose can be hard; especially when perspective comes into play)They're getting a rerelease! They're up on AmiAmi now. [ext link ]

Silvery (1 day ago) #29718890I have a feeling that these are powered-up versions of the earlier ones, and not necessarily an announcement for next two model kits, but I'm far from claiming that I'm right, hence why I worded this as a question. :)
I really wish there was some intermediate option between just commenting on a figure and alerting something - the latter seems excessive in situations like this... And inboxes of busy people like you are usually full.

blueberrywaifu (1 day ago) #29718689Wow, that's really impressive how much work and thought you put into your purchases. If I see a waifu, I buy the waifu. I do try to have my figures grouped together on shelves with a theme (kimonos, warriors, witches, etc) or with varying poses that maximizes viewing potential (one sitting in the front, two standing in the back), but that's about it. ^^
I curb my buying impulses by forcing myself to wait one week before preordering to see if I truly do want a figure, and by buying figures that I have no more than one minor complaint about. *looks at my 80-something figures* It's been uh... moderately successful so far...

thank you! im trying to stick to kimino, witch, magical girl themes etc too! its hard to make 'em fit/not spend all my money :C

yurii (1 day ago) #29718829i don't order much any more but i usually sort it out when the figure arrives. i swap figures out based on what i want to display, like out with the old in with the new.
btw your planning picture is really neat ^^ wish i could do that for scales lol
thank you!! i have another file for my scales that i keep on shelves but i know its hard to anticipate how big their bases will be haha

I must be the only person in the world who likes Figfixes more than Figmas or Nendoroids.

However, that doesn't mean I want them to go. Figmas are what Funko Pops should have been, a cheap way to get quality figures of your favorite characters (popular or even lesser known) and for a while, they were.

Like, there are so many cases where the only figures my favorite characters or series got where figmas. Now I guess Nendoroids could take over that role, but sometimes I want a chibi and sometimes I want something more realistic.

Anyway, I'll be upset if Figmas get the axe, I'm just now coming around to their joints (I find them pretty ugly tbh) and I'm planning on getting a few.
I hope you had a fantastic birthday! :)

hajimerikka (2 days ago) #29706588GSC better stay true with him having his nipples. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
This is probably the male nendoroid so far I’ve seen with nipples. Correct me if I’m wrong though (・∀・;)

Aoba (item #163749) has nipples, though his aren't painted, I hope they paint Kamina's nipples though, but they might not paint them.

i remember seeing a comment somewhere on here about how it took the same amount of time to release the hinata figma as it did to release multiple haikyuu nendoroids lol dang
like the user below figmas to me are kinda pointless as i didnt pose them and treated them as a scale, except theyre awkwardly small so i sold em
its a shame tho since theyre fun to pose (when i could be bothered to do so lol)
Oh no, I didnt hear anything like that but I really hope it's not true! I love figmas so much, I even prefer them over Nendoroids. My preferences are kind of the same as yours too, even though I do love idol anime, I don't think they make interesting figmas. I was really hoping for an Arthur Pendragon/Saber Prototype figma when his Nendoroid and Alter were announced, it hasnt happened yet but I dont want to give up hope ;_;

I think Snow Miku and Racing Miku figmas are quite a staple by now that those, at least, are safe, which is a relief for me. There are quite a few male characters I would be very interested in figmas of, and with the increase in the number of male figures being made, I hoped the possibility would become more plausible. I guess figmas arent as popular with girls as Nendoroids are though >: Either way, I really hope they dont stop making figmas entirely!
