Sheryl Nome

I've looked at the pictures, and I think I still want this Sheryl figure. The face, from a purely sculpt evaluation, doesn't look to be terribly bad. I think what seems wrong about her is the nearly fully exposed bottom curve of the eye's iris. The resulting effect seems to portray surprise or shock which opposes the thin smile. Try putting up the portrait pic and cover the nose and mouth with your finger-tip, and see if you agree. I think a re-paint of the eye to reduce the white area would improve the appearance. I have a bootleg Kanu I can experiment on.... Besides, this girl has other attributes to admire. If she were real, she'd probably have to remind you to look at her face.

I've seen her in real in Akihabara stores, she's not actually THAT pretty. Her face could have been better painted... I'm a bit disappointed, removed her from my wishlist D:

I am uploading some pictures since yes, the face is odd but its not THAT odd as the pictures shown here.

Also keep in mind its a 1/8 so the pictures can look bigger that you can see in real life (since, you know, zoom) but I am not excusing the head that is odd and so are the supports (WTF is this? Nendo? learn to balance Bandai) that kinda takes away from the figure but looking at her in natural light is not that bad as in flash pictures, good body build however.

Another thing, the head moves (and in fact its removable, you can take her mantle off by detaching the head) and so is part of the arm (also removable, for the LUZ i guess) that you can move to that mic position or for the hand to lay against the body (one of the official positions shows that).

I bought this figure from hobbysearch when it first came out (pre order date) and the beta looked awesome, so I got her and ranka together.

The pics from the beta were given the illusion that this was a good figure, because the lighting in the pictures kinda lit Sheryl's face - back then she looked like a very 'adult' Sheryl and this was the reason I bought her.

Minus the outfit, everything else is TERRIBLE someone should get a pic of her face, hell I bet I can even paint one better than THAT.

Her hair color looks more yellow than pink. It's really different with the promo picture that looks more pink than yellow. VERY DISAPPOINTED! :(

It looks nice from a far but get close...
For the price it's an absolute disgrace, aside from the actual sculpt qc is quite poor. The Ranka figure is a little bit better but the qc is still terrible. I should have saved my money for the new banpresto prize figures, at least i know where i stand with those, which is ironic. I feel a bit gutted i got these to be honest :/.

Bandai is still a Bandai T__T.... dont mean offend to Bandai fans but i think they need a long road to build a good figure that fit 6000 yen more in price. Hope Ranka will be better !

I'm really hoping that's just iffy lighting. Even still, Bandai might be being a little ambitious on their pricing for this figure. I wonder if Ranka has fared any better...
