It might mean that they still have stock from the first release.

For the past six months I've been contemplating paying the ridiculous prices she's been going for at auction, so I'm glad I wasn't able to get the money together before they announced the re-release. Can't wait to have her and Dead Master on my shelf ^_^

Seeing how there's no way they'll get BRS at the same time as the Japanese retailers, in December the first wave is probably just some fancy name to sell any remaining stock; that would also explain the much higher price. The second wave has a realistic release date of January, after the release date in Japan so I think the second wave will be the real restock, the real second wave.
Oh yeah, the first wave is called the first wave because it is the first wave, released a year ago. :P

No.
It's just a mistake with their system. It always happens with re-release items: You see "ship now" sign on your account page but it's only because the item was released at a previous date and now it's open for order again. The system most probably mistakes this as "in stock item".
You can ask them about it if you want to confirm but that's pretty much the case.
FYI (since you thought it was instock), there are no online shops that still sell BRS from the first release at reasonable prices anymore. Well, there are NOW since there's a re-release coming up but an in-stock, unopened item from the first release, for the original price would be very, very rare right now. Almost impossible. The ones that have it per chance, would either be the ones that don't want to miss the chance to sell it at ridiculous prices before it's re-released or they're already selling the re-release one but didn't mention it in the sales page, or someplace/someone like that.
