keithgator (26 days ago) #2063413Well I just got her in.
... and it looks like she needs alot of work.

I wrote how hard it would be to assemble her in my previous comment, however the people here usually don't read previous comments...
I have a little experience and all the tools necessary to assemble kits, there are expensive stuff you need to have in hand to achieve a good final result, like an airbrush and an air compressor. Plus you need a lot of training too to be able to use an airbrush, otherwise you'll screw up things really bad.
Better wait for E... with their pre assembled and painted kits for the same price or even less.

keithgator (26 days ago) #2063413Not to mention that she doesn't come with a stand either. I'm not sure if that's the norm. But gee I wonder if she can stand on her own without an additional support. If she can't... I dunno, how do you even make stands like that on a whim?
It is sadly completely normal for GKs to not include stands. Hobby supply stores should have something you can use as model building also sometimes requires items like that. I'm sure there will be guides online about it too. Good luck getting her painted and assembled!

Ritsu (25 days ago) #2063896That's insane! How is she supposed to stand up, and be SAFE to display? Wow...really not wanting her now.

Well there are instructions on how to create a base for her, but you need to buy an acrylic circular base first before drilling a hole.

Yea... like I said, alot of work.

The coloured parts are quite pale, so they should definitely be given another coat of that same colour. Many small thin lines that need painting, and you just need one wrong move to mess the whole thing up.

Good luck to me and the rest of you guys who intend to assemble her with inexperienced hands (such as myself). This looks like it's gonna be one heck of a journey.

Still pretty disappointed she ended up as a GK.
