I kind of hoped for the new series to bring us a re-release, but soon after I realized if that actually happened, I'd feel really bad for the people who have looked for her for a long time and ended up spending a fortune on her. I love this Kino, but out of respect for those who bought her, I think I prefer a new scale.

Celtic7Guardian (29 days ago) #27581035Excuse me while I go gag. XD Come on, there's a million and one characters who work for that kind of fanservice, don't shoehorn in a character that doesn't!
I'm looking forward to seeing the new series when I have time. <3 A bit too busy now for much in general, but it's at the top of my list for vacation watching.

Right?!

Ahh, I'd like to know your thoughts! They're redoing some of the episodes/stories from the original animated series and one in particular felt very rushed to me. There's a lot of CGI (everything with Hermes in it) which is a bit disappointing for me personally, although it isn't awful. One of my favorite things thus far: Hermes refers to Kino using male pronouns, and even Hulu, in episode descriptions uses he/him. I think that's incredible, seeing as Kino themselves shies away from gender labels.

"Don't call me boy. I'm not a boy. I'm Kino."
