At first I thought it was pretty cool of Bandai to include red polycaps in this kit, until I completed the model and got it on an Action Base. For whatever reason (I'm guessing it's the material the polycaps are made of since they feel different from your average polycap), it made the knee joint so loose and weak that it couldn't support the weight of the shin and foot, making any aerial pose that did not have a straight leg look really awkward. Luckily I had some spare grey polycaps from the Unicorn Mode and just swapped them out; so far no problems.

Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done with the thrusters in the rear skirt; if you put enough pressure on them they'll pop right off. The v-fin can benefit from a more secure attachment, as can the beam tonfas when they're in use.

But when all is said and done, you have one beautiful model kit that is amazingly color accurate right out of the box (for a kit of this size and price). It's sure to draw the attention of any onlooker, and I love displaying it right next to its alternate form.

the red action base like this costs about $7... maybe?

Are you talking about the red action base 2 or the black one on the picture I've sent? Because none of them belongs to the kit; action base 2 you need to buy separately and black base I took from my Masurao.
