mintree (6 days ago) #19217800Oh wow didn't know it would take that long for it to ship from these kind of sites... Now I really wished I just pre ordered from Ami ami.
and I would assume even after she is released her price will go up like before?

US shops shipping within US normally takes 1-3 months after the JP release dates, and there are plenty of cases where re-release made the aftermarket plummet, or revert to pre re-release prices, as well as a pattern of the former followed by the latter. Do note that because of the fact that the overseas shops get their copies months later than JP peeps, the prices won't stabilize within that timeframe.

wewe (6 days ago) #19214808kirin is slow to respond (sometimes not at all) in comparison to the other US shops, doesn't require upfront payment, prices on the lower end around MHtoy, and they pack their boxes like a fortress for my free shipping (+$150) orders. Every individual figure inside was wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap, with different dimension items separated by cardboard to prevent them from indenting each other, and all other areas filled with bubblewrap.
A-I has 20% down or upfront payment, and you can use their coupons for pre-orders (so atleast 10% off if paying upfront or 10% off that 20% down), with free shipping on everything. The stuff they sent to me (with the free shipping) usually have subpar packaging, as their cheap brown tape peeled off from the flaps occasionally, and the inside is a loose layer of airbags or bubble wrap+peanuts.
I'd advise A-I, a total of $54 (could've been $51 before the 20th) and shipping schedule around June is what you're looking at.

mintree (6 days ago) #19213886Yeah I looked at TOM, only thing is that its on the more expensive side and I believe I have to pay extra for shipping which really raises it up.
Do you happen to know anything about Anime Island or Kirin Hobby.
Those two have cheaper prices with apparently free shipping options but heard some bad things about both...

I haven't tried both of those yet unfortunately since I usually buy only on amiami, biginjap, and a local store orz. I've ordered once on TOM before and I can say they have amazing customer service but yes it is expensive ^^;. I suggest starting/joining/looking through very recent forums about these stores :) But based on the feedbacks it seems Anime Island (mfc link) is getting better now compared to Kirin Hobby (mfc link)

rozelle (6 days ago) #19208127Since you're in the US I believe TOM is your best bet. -> [ext link ] Only if you do not mind waiting a bit later to get her since they get their items shipped from Japan to their warehouse in the US first before shipping it to you (usually takes them at least 1-3 months). Otherwise, sometimes Amiami still have pre-ordered items left in stock after the item is released. Waiting for it can work too. I hope this helps a bit! ( ` ω ´ )

mintree (6 days ago) #19201125Does any one know where to pre order/buy this figma now?
I missed the pre orders from the more reputable sites like AmiAmi and other sites I found has them for a decent price but with bad reviews, other sites have her for a really high price.
I would also be interested in buying her if anyone is selling them for a good price. Pre owned is fine given shes in good condition and a good price.
