Yeah apparently if you dont open the box, in some instances the PVC will develop stains and some sort of oily residue as a chemical reaction to the fumes while being inside the box so long. I think you're safe if you keep it in a cool dark environment though, although I'm not a 100% expert on this, I forget the blog post that mentioned it
LOL that explains some things, like when I got an older figure unopened and it was greasy inside, I was really confused but just gently wiped it off.
And I still wish momohime's sculpt was more accurate to kamitani (isn't she missing a shoulder plate?) like Velvet (but she was a garage kit by BUBBA, so, thats hard to compete with). Alter seems to ignore the original artwork style and just does their own thing.

Only took mine out of the box today, but she's truly outstanding, 9.5/10, another great work from Alter (the seam lines on the sleaves are the only issues but I won't deduct a whole point for that...)
I only wish she was bigger.

Reltair has phenomenal shipping rates for US buyers. The hobby shops like to charge me a few fingers for Int'l Shipping. $5.00 to ship beats them any day. But I'll definitely wait to see how much less you are talking about. :]
I just bought her for ~8k including shipping from mandarake a week ago. You'll have to be quick though, she doesn't stay in stock for long.
With some patience, you can find one on Amiami, mandarake or jungle preowned for a lot less.

o.O What? Didn´t know about this... whats happends if I never open her box in for example 5 years from now? The figure will deteriorate inside the box? really?

I wasn't trying ton humanize her per-say. In a way I guess I would be now, but I meant let the pvc breathe so that she doesn't suffer from that oily residue thing over time

If you have no aversion to taking a utility blade to the bottom of the base, you can easily shave off the uneven bits of pvc to make it even with the center portion of the bottom of the base.
Thanks for the suggestion but I won't do that, I'm to scared to mess it up. xD Besides it is only an issue when I'm moving her around, which I almost never do. And when I do move her I am extra careful, so it's okay. :)

I got her yesterday. Her base is wobbly and both her hands/arms doesn't seem to fit that good since they fall of quite easily. But other than that she is really nice.

In case you haven't figured it out already, the extra sleeve in the box is the one you need to make her hold the sword like this (mfc link). Remove the current sleeve and put the extra sleeve in then remove her left hand and put it into the new sleeve. Then you should be able to push in the sword. Hope this helped?
Thanks. I have seen many pictures of her holding the sword that way and I'm going to have to play around with it this weekend. I think my nervousness that I will break a hand off or crack her kimono while I'm handling her is interfering with my common sense. The fear is holding me back from greatness (which goes for many things in my life as well...arrghh). :) For now, she looks pretty nice holding the sword in the sheath, though. I'm starting to appreciate her more, especially next to all of my other figures. She stands out no matter what.
Thanks again.

Got her yesterday. She is stunning, glad I didn't miss her the second time round. Only downside for me is the small gap where her arm joins, although you can't really see it from most angles or at a distance. Also the base, as nice as it is, it isn't perfectly flat and although she is stable, I think if the base was a little wider it would have made her even more stable.
Mine has the same issues. The base instability (not that big of a deal when considering how wonderfully detailed and unique the base is) does not irk me as much as dat gap separating her left arm from her torso! I was going to try to push it in more, but I got nervous and left it alone because I'm unsure if the left arm is detachable or not. I don't think the original release owners have this issue (or the wobbly base). They got the perfect product the first time around.

For some reason I wasn't amazed when I unboxed her either. She looked nice but I wasn't wowed straight away like I'd expected. However, displaying her for a few days next to my computer from various angles really made me appreciate her beauty and perfection, and I'm very happy I got her now. :)
Also, THAT'S how you make a base. I can't stress how much less awesome she'd be if she were marred by an ugly brown disc. *cough*
