Nutcase is a matter of perspective. Limited run and I have seen one figure ( granted 1/2.5 scale ) get a 2000.00 fetch. Regardless, I also saw a prize figure from Puella Magica Modoka go for around 34,000 yen on AmiAmi. She was even missing a special card or something. Even if limited to 50 pieces, I doubt I could pay so much for a prize figure.

If you look at the auction history for the red Tougetsu on Yahoo Auctions thus far, 36 have sold at an average of 43300 yen.

9 of the 36 sold in the first day, with 8 being bought immediately from 29800 to 40000. The lone auction on the first day had 26 bids and sold for 43000.

Since then, only 9 of the last 27 have had a single bid. The remaining 18 have had an average of over 16 bids.

closedsearch.au...

Considering that it's an event exclusive with only 200 made for 16000 yen with a limit of 1 per person, I think the prices haven't been too outrageous. If you couldn't go to the event, but were quick enough to buy it online the first day, the prices were more than fair.
