I haven't had any issues with mine, perhaps it's the way you have it positioned?

This figure is so beautiful. I honestly can't wait until the rest in the line are released. They will look wonderful together.

Aside from Miku, I only plan on getting two others, but I will definitely appreciate pictures of the full set.

Got her today. Really satisfied.

Really love that background and her base. Oh man that base is such a treat. So firm, so beautiful, because so far I only got plastic feeling and dull base.

Also, at first I was disappointed seeing her hair on user's photo, but after seeing it first-hand, nope. It'd be good if it sticks to proto, but the present one it still turns out good to me, so in the end, I got no complaint.

The only thing lacking is that, sadly, I'm not a fan of Miku (no hate, just indifference), and for me that affects what I feel when I saw the figure. I wish something this beautiful would ever come out of a character I really love...

Anyway, this is the first Stronger figure I have, and it left me with no doubt about Stronger quality. Not Alter-level yet, but I also got no complaint. Would definitely order if I found something I like from them ♫

Just picked her up today! After having only 1/10 and 1/12's for a long time, I forgot how big 1/8 scale is, lol.

Just to reiterate how much better she could have been sculpted and shaded,

This is what a furisode kimono + umbrella should look like!

Just got mine yesterday, she looks absolutely fantastic though I do have a gripe with the umbrella. The top doesn't seem to be particularly well attached to the handle, at all. Tipping her a bit causes the thing to fall off immediately. Also, since she doesn't seem to have any particular way of holding the umbrella in place, it tends to slide all the way down and smack her in the head when handled in any way.

I managed to get it to behave itself somehow though, so it's not a massive deal, she's really super lovely. And she's smaller than I thought, takes up very little space, which I absolutely love. Can't wait for Luka and item #394712 to see them all together :3

Lulles (1 month ago) #18279087Disagreeing with you doesn't mean I, or anyone else, is blind to their figures' defects. This Miku is far from being my favorite figure in my collection, but I felt the need to come to her defense when I saw your comment. Thought my opinion as someone who's seen her in person would maybe be helpful to you. But, each to their own and I'm certainly not trying to convince you to buy her. Just thought analazing a figure like that (you honestly sounded like you were doing a review of her even) when you don't own it doesn't make sense.

I apologize for causing your misunderstanding. You should view my original comment as simply ranting.

Sythellri (1 month ago) #18276625Thanks for validating my opinion. I agree it's just my opinion and I'm not trying to impose it on anyone else. The thing is I feel that enough research is just as good as seeing the figure in person. Obviously it's not the same as owning it but with a good enough imagination, you can picture it.
I'm not saying that people are blind to the flaws either but rather quite a few refuse to acknowledge them. It's fine to love a figure even though there are flaws since nobody is perfect but not admitting that they exist is a problem I've seen in many collectors.
Then again everyone has their own opinion so maybe I'm just talking to myself.

Terrence (1 month ago) #18273742While it's fine to dislike her for the reasons you listed, I can't really follow the logic that you can describe her in detail and certainty when you don't own her. Figures are bound to look different in-person over pictures. Sure a collector may value their figure more by seeing it in person, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're blind to it's flaws when there is one. I love most of my figures, but I know that some have objective flaws like poor paintjob, or shaky bases, etc. I don't have an inherent subconscious reaction to always defend the figures I own, but I suppose some collectors do.
I will agree that she is simplistic in some areas, and your opinion is totally fine. I wouldn't go as far as to say she looks like absolute shit without decals, but eh, everyone's different~

Sythellri (1 month ago) #18272825Here's the thing, it's the fact that I DON'T own her which allows me to describe her in such detail and certainty. I don't have any biases or need to defend the figure. I've found it becomes an almost inherent subconscious reaction to defend figures that you own. I have seen the figure in person as it was on sale and I have seen many, many reviews. There are more than enough pictures to make concrete decisions anyways.
You even agree with me to a certain degree that she is simple without enough details in many areas.
In conclusion, the decals on this figure make it stand out but they alone are not enough to bring it to life. There's far too much missing.

Lulles (1 month ago) #18265997How can you say all that if you don't own the figure? lol She looks amazing in person. And I'm not sure what more folds you expected this to have, since kimono don't really have that many folds on its lower half. I agree it could have had a little bit more shading but I think the simplicity was on purpose. I mean, everyone has the right to have their own opinion, I just find it funny how you described her in so much detail and certainty, when you don't own her.
