Orangepls (1 month ago) #24269179Ok I'm hopeless and need some advice: I have wanted a Miku figure for some time now, but I cannot for the life of me decide whether I want to get this one or ITEM #256472. Which one would you get given the choice?

I have both, and personally I prefer ITEM #256472. Her pose is looks fantastic from almost any angle, and I'm a big fan of the hands, feet, and other details of her body. Her clothing and hair gives a good sense of movement, and the colors brighten my day. This Miku is nice, but I'm not as pleased with the palette -- her dress has stronger reds/golds than I expected, making the pattern look busy to me. (I love the colors of the umbrella, though.) Some angles have good visual balance but many are not so interesting. The sculpt of the clothing is good, but it lacks that extra something that makes me almost "feel" the material. (I prefer figures that are able to do this.)

So, those are my own reasons. I can see why ITEM #256472 is too "unique" for some people's tastes, lol. The upcoming ITEM #604409 does look promising.

WindsorSeven (1 month ago) #24269267I vote for this one.

Mekuneko (1 month ago) #24274075I also vote for this, kimono one. The ITEM #256472 is bit too strange for my tastes and it's also more expensive. For the other one I have also had fun reading comments how she has weird toes.
Did you also see that GSC is coming up with ITEM #604409. I don't know if it's your tastes but yea. There are also other really good Mikus. :)

Dunizel (1 month ago) #24287277Hard decision, they are completely different styles.
I have this kimono one. It's cute, but to be completely honest it's not become a favourite and I wouldn't call it stunning. It's a classic pose, the colours are nice but don't stand out much. It's nice and sort of elegant, if that's what you are looking for then it's great. But if that's what you are going for, I'd check out item ITEM #604409, I honestly regret a bit buying this because it was so expensive and now I would prefer the Harvest Moon version.
The dancing Miku ITEM #256472 is instead a very particular figure. I saw it at a friends', she really does catch the eye. The movement of the hair and body, and the dynamic pose, are fantastic. The colours are more vibrant too. Hands and feet are sculptured realistically, that's probably what people find weird. They are different from your average anime-style statue.
I think it depends on your tastes and what you are looking for :)

Thank you for your input! Sometimes it helps me to hear what other people think :) I think I'll wait for ITEM #604409 to be painted before I make a definite decision because she looks like she'll be very beautiful too, but I think I have a better idea of what I'm looking for now. Thanks again!

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this kind of question!
