And those who paid hyper-inflated prices for the previous one can start whining...
ExtraMoe (1 year ago) #7610899Now the people who couldn't get the previous one can finally stop whining. Good for them.

manlets_WWTL (1 month ago) #23486134What you said is already a given. MFC isn't a safe as a more traditional sites as the only information you need to divulge to a customer is your paypal account, ergo less accountability. This is basic stuff; I don't know why I need to explain it.
If a cake maker were to make a small percentage of their cake out of non-traditional ingredients would the customer ever know?

yea i wouldn't just jump to the conclusion that "opened for defect" automatically screams "SCAM!!" but checking a users history and activity and maybe some pictures couldn't hurt before you take that plunge. on the internet you're never truly safe but we hope every transaction we make goes well

Fallen-Cloud (1 month ago) #23482124Well, bad luck happens. If you take care to see if a user has positive feedback (like you should do, this is also true for shops - you ALWAYS need to make sure to find trustworthy sellers, be they private people or not), then you are as safe as you would be if you bought something from a trustworthy seller on E-Bay or something from the pre-owned section from AmiAmi. I really don't see the point in calling people names without any sort of proof to back you up. If the seller has done shady things in the past - please, do warn people away from them! But no one can build up a trustworthy reputation if they get shut down immediately.

manlets_WWTL (1 month ago) #23480556Because there are those who patronise this site that knows of the infantile nativity of its users and so would exploit this characteristic. Many of you who use this site will recognise this trait found in a good portion of its users. I've seen so many people that sell figures hastily insist that the box was "Only opened for defects" but within the group that claims this fact to be true there are some that lie for financial gain. For the incentives to do so are fairly high ( If done well it can fairly hard to tell the difference). You must understand that human behaviour is dictated by the positive versus the negative consequences of their actions.
You may claim to have modest intentions but all I am doing is pointing out the emperor has no clothes. Paypal is not a support I’d recommend leaning on either, even this you have admitted.

Fallen-Cloud (1 month ago) #22611340And why would your first action be to think someone is lying? I've checked some of my figures for defects too, just to then store them because I am still lacking the room or a good place to display them. If I store them, though, I'd like to know if they are without flaws in case I need to contact the seller for a refund etc. If they ARE lying - hey, PayPal has got you (partially) covered.

I cant understand either, why would you first of all - think someone is lying?
Sure there are some people who might try to get away with minor defects which could be overseen.

But there are people who do not even unseal all of their figures, so why shouldn't there be people who just look in and place it to storage?

grumpy people everywhere lol

manlets_WWTL (1 month ago) #22610010How stupid do you think people are? " openly opened for defects" There's so many morons on this site that think that people will believe this bs.
