If there's anyone in Aus who'd be willing to split a pack of these from Amiami with me, send me a message. I'm after Rin, so you'd be getting Saber.

Anybody in Canada interested in this Saber? I bought the 2 pack from amiami for Rin and I don't need Saber.

They're being sold separately on crunchyroll right now. They are "on sale" for a whopping $33.99 (+$10 shipping) each. The price is rather ludicrous compared to Amiami, but if you really don't want Rin and you'd SUPER REALLY hate the hassle of finding a buyer for her, I guess it's a half decent option >_>

Don't think I've ever seen CR fumble a prize so hard on their daily deals.

Halcione (1 year ago) #7695403Pardon the potentially stupid questions since I'm still very new to this hobby.

So after searching around google and some of the replies here, my understanding is that this is kinda the equivalent of a cereal or happy meal toy, but for candy. So if I were to pre-order this in say, amiami, I'd receive some sort of candy..... box? and BOTH of these figures (aka I can't pick the one I like). So amiami and the like are pricing it at double what it'd cost since it's coming with 2.

Am I hitting within the ballpark or so?

What kind of quality does one normally expect from these? From what I've read so far, seems like not much, but that's rather subjective. So I'll ask instead, how close to these prototype images could one expect them to end up as?

With "candy toys" from Japan, typically the emphasis is on the "toy" more than the "candy". This is less true with a few product lines (mainly Choco Eggs), but for the most part, candy toys simply contain a small figure and a piece of gum or tablet-shaped candy.

As far as this item in particular goes, Bandai has another "Styling" line, Dragonball Styling, and the quality of those has been great so far. They're on the larger side for trading figures, and quite well-made for the price. They can be purchased individually, too. However, they aren't as expensive as this Saber is. Wonder what's going on in this case...

now that's just plain insane. You can get two decent prizes for this price.
And, seriously, why are they twice as expensive as other stylings? Better quality can not explain this - my friends own quite a few One Pice ones, and those are really good for half (or less) the price...

Tenmashi (1 year ago) #7660389They always do that with Bandai products. Other products are usually cheaper on there.

Well, my point is that the quality on the Candy Toys I've had has been pretty good for their 1,000yen or so price points, so they have no reason to charge more than 2x the price for something not even 2 inches bigger.
