Came home from work today and to my surprise I found this huge box from Otaku Mode waiting for me! While the shipping box was damaged with a huge intention, like something heavy had been placed on top of it, the figure itself was packed closer to the bottom of the box and had no damage. The window does warp inward slightly on one side, though that looks to be the fault of design ( it's too large of an expanse for the plastic to hold?). Otherwise he looks to be in perfect shape. Had no idea he was even on his way!

agentmozell (10 hours ago) #27415755Well I got him today but I'm beyond pissed right now. After the extra wait and the money that was spent for this "project" mine had some pretty major (in my opinion) damage to the box. I know some people here don't really care about their boxes, but I do as I keep them for various reasons safe and sound in my storage.
The windows on the sides and back of the box are warped pretty badly. Just a little pressure and surely they would break away from the box. The main window in the front looks like it had something heavy on top and actually is separated from the box.
I'm not even forcing it, the gap is just that bad. I just contacted TOM about this. I'm so upset. I hope they can do something.

Mine arrived today and has really odd windows as well, almost as if the plastic was warped before it was installed in the box or glued in such a way that it caused it to warp. On mine, I think it might have been assembled incorrectly, as the areas around where it is bowing inward are solidly connected to the box. My shipping box had damage too, but aside from the weird windows, there is no damage to Edward's box except for a tiny ding that you have to be looking at just right to see. Hopefully TOM helps you out, they're generally good about at least awarding some points for damaged boxes.

Nightcrown (2 days ago) #27294930A bit? More like extremely generous since they not only delayed the figure but took basically a week to "ship" since they send the email. What bothers me the most apart from the huge delay is that now they are accepting TOM points on Projects when I had a bunch of TOM points I could have used on this figure.

Yeah, I’m not sure what has to be done between warehouse arrival and shipping time, but it seems excessive. I suspect they added TOM points to projects because they were listening when we complained about this project—I know I left a comment on the page about it when they announced Ed wouldn’t arrive in August.

littlefishgirl (3 days ago) #27284011When I log in and check the projects page, I have a link to a USPS tracking number but it just says “shipping label created” so far. I think their promise of “soon” was a bit overly generous as it’s been a week since they said Ed had arrived in their warehouse :p
