Mitsuna (1 year ago) #16222439I agree, I think we should appreciate both equally ^^ I was trying to make that point earlier but probably became a little riled up

shiroiusagi (1 year ago) #16222387No, you just have your point of view like everyone else^^
But I don't think people don't like gk, they just prefer pvc because they don't have the skills (me included) to build and paint them. If I had this skill I would love to do some gk myself. But I really like to see other people putting their own touch to the figure they paint.

GCNess (1 year ago) #16221779I just feel like you should be happy that it even exists.
I really hope that I'm not coming off as cold. I just defend garage kits because many don't like them.

shiroiusagi (1 year ago) #16221641I feel like it's more a compliment to the sculptor that people wish for a pvc version. That don't mean the gk should not exist.I totally agree with theyasminshow, we can hope fore both to please everyone.

GCNess (1 year ago) #16219268I just find that it's disrespectful. I plan on making garage kits in the future and I would be insulted if people complained about the troubles I went through. Let's just be happy that NekoHouse made this figure. It's fine if you want a PVC, but complaining about it is a waste of time.

Can I offer a slightly different perspective?

There's nothing wrong with GKs, they're brilliant and a labor of love for both the creator and the person who buys and builds them. But they're GK because they're made in limited numbers unlike model kits or Charagumin. If everyone was into collecting and building GK, you'd have a much harder time finding the kits you want and getting them for affordable prices (as it is now it can get really steep). The alternate is if the figure is adapted to a PVC figure, in which there's enough to go around. And I think a GK creator would find it an encouraging honor to have their sculpt adapted as well.

There's room in the world for both, so both sides please stop taking it personally? This isn't worth getting a locked thread over. "I wish this was PVC" isn't really a complaint, and hasn't been said here for over a year unless I missed something.

Just because you cannot build a GK does not mean that garage kits are no good. I can't speak French but that does not mean that French is not a good language. Garage kits are not inferior to PVC figures. I am not getting annoyed at hope, some of the comments are fine, whereas others are being completely ignorant of the fact that it's a lovely garage kit and are just whining about PVC figures. I would not be bothered if it was not almost every comment, complaining about a garage kit that came out 5 years ago. We're just stating that people should have a little more respect, as there are people that would be really pleased that this is a garage kit. This small company have worked really hard on it for other people to enjoy. I bought her a while ago now and I love her to pieces, she looks wonderful. She isn't inferior to a PVC just because she is a garage kit.
shiroblank (1 year ago) #16219199Do you really care what people consider more important? Also you can't say pvc and garage kits are just as good as each other. I can't build a gk so it's no good to me. Yes it's unlikely nekohouse will see these comments and be persuaded by them but it's better than nothing. If the complaints bother you that much then just try to think of them as words of yearning or hope. It's hard to get annoyed at hope.

So it's fine that everyone else complains and we can't? I understand if it's said a few times, but almost every comment says the same thing.
shiroblank (1 year ago) #16219203I get where you're coming from, I just don't agree. If you're happy with the garage kit then I'm happy for you but don't complain about people who are wishing for an alternative.
