My Saturn came today and I think the quality is fine, not the best but 'ok'. It's so sad that the glaive didn't fit in her hand... ._. Saturn is my favourite character ;-;

straywind (26 days ago) #28704928Yup. I'm right up there with everyone else regarding the quality of this figure. I wasn't sure what I was going to end up with and in the box she seemed alright, but wow, is Bandai asking the people who make bootlegs to make their figures now?? This is probably the only scale figure (that's not a prize figure) that I own to have so many glaring flaws. Mine is mostly alright but she does have some weird, clear circle markings on her base, she had paint marks on the back of one leg and the front of her skirt is mega marked up. It has like 4 pink dots and a couple of silver streaks on it. That's bootleg level looking!
I was able to mostly remove the paint marks on her leg using a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, but a white eraser and the magic eraser did nothing to remove the marks on her skirt. ~_~ The only other figure from this specific Figuarts Zero line that I own is Sailor Moon and she also had tons of flaws, but at least they were fairly distributed so she still looks fine overall. The fact Saturn has so many spots on her skirt makes her look like a fake. That's really pretty sad. Thankfully her face looks nice and from a foot away she's alright but close up it's depressing. I don't know if I should complain to Amazon because if I did exchange her the next one I get could be the same or worse. Just wow, Bandai.
And, like everyone else is noticing, her glaive is pretty wonky. I spent like 2 minutes trying to figure out the placement before giving up and cutting a mounting square to hold the glaive in her lower hand. The upper hand just can't snuggly grip the staff so there's no way to secure the lower hand to the staff. The square isn't really working so I'll have to cut another piece.
I still think the design is pretty and I like her pose, but my goodness, was anyone involved with quality control for this??! I had to pay $83 for her and it was definitely a waste of money for that price. For $50 I could maybe give it a side eye pass, but if I one day try to sell her what price could I even ask?! She's official, there is a sticker on the box that says so. Sorry it looks like someone stuck a bootleg in the official box....

I literally needed to put some coins between her skirt and arm and leave it there for a while to put the arm in the right position for the glaive... I only have one complaint: the ribons on her boot were not painted -.- After that its pretty good (than I was expecting). I cost me around 55$uds

SlickMajestic (26 days ago) #28704068You'll need to superglue her glaive into her hand for it to rest properly. Use good plastic glue. Otherwise, its in line with the other Crystal Scouts for Figuarts.

That’s what I did. I used hot glue so I won’t damage it when I take it off but there was no way it’d stay properly without glue. Piece of crap

I was able to get her from Hottopic (weird right?) for $50 and she's in stock on OtakuMode for $50 right now (11/15/2017)

That being said I was excited, but my excitement dimmed a bit when I git her. She's pretty, no doubt but her quality when you look closely is "meh". And like others have said, her glaive does not rest on her left hand; it hovers over it if you position the glaive right. Overall, I'm not sure if I'll be keeping her; we'll see.

I'm sad, had this pre-ordered with anime-island but then discovered a few days ago they were shut down. I see people disappointed with the figure quality here, but I'm still out of the $40-ish dollars I paid with no refund possible apparently.

Wow. This has got to be one of the most disappointing figures I've bought that ended up not being a bootleg (and I can't be sure it isn't).

As people have mentioned, her glaive does not fit in her hands properly, her positioning on the stand appears crooked, and her feet don't even fit in the stand very well.

Have over 200 figures in my collection and this will be the first I do not put on display. Shame as Saturn is my 2nd favorite overall.

I've had a pending charge of $83 CAD on my credit card for this Saturn figure from Amazon.com since Sunday. My figure has yet to ship, but with all the talk about flaws it's sad to think that I'm just hoping mine isn't too bad for the price I'm paying. I'm paying $30 more for her over what I was originally paying to Anime Island so if mine has lots of flaws I'm going to be super disappointed. I guess it's still better than ordering the limited edition ones from the Japanese release. That would have been more like $100. ~_~ It's sad because I do like the colours and look of the figure so I really want to love this figure.
