I got mine but there's a tiny blemish in the paint on the armour on one of her legs. Does anyone know the exact shade GSC use on it so I can just touch it up myself?

savqez (14 days ago) #18835723They just had one layer of bubble wrap, but it didn't surround the entire package. That's a lousy packaging for a figure. They should have done better than this, specially because their cardboard boxes are not very sturdy.

They just had one layer of bubble wrap, but it didn't surround the entire package. The same dent is also visible from the actually cardboard box, so I'm pretty sure it was some rough handling. Yet it could have been minimized with better packaging.

marseille (14 days ago) #18835479Usually Play-Asia packs their boxes with a lot of styrofoam pieces. I bought a few figures from them and they all came in great condition. I'm not seeing any styrofoam piece in the picture, did they just bubble wrap the figure box?
Anyway, considering the damage in the cardboard box, I think even the most secure packing wouldn't be able to avoid damaging the figure box (looks like someone put a lot of weight over it or tossed it in the ground really hard). In this point, I don't think you can blame Play-Asia too much for the damage. But if you think they could have done a better packing, I think you could contact them to, at least, let them know about the problem.

Is this normal? Should I do something about this?

Not really normal, per se, but not uncommon. Minor damage can be inflicted by handlers (humans, machines, trained gorillas) tossing packages around, and the more times the package is loaded and unloaded, the more likely it is to be damaged. That's why figures come in slightly over-sized boxes and have all that protective plastic inside -- so that whatever happens to the packaging, the figure itself is more likely to remain unscathed.

As long as the figure itself is okay, I'd just leave it be, unless you're wanting to display the box as well or something.
