Yeeah I've heard Max Factory don't do re-releases, which is a shame because I think this is the best Asuka figure out there :(

WOW I got her new at AX 2012 for $100 square. Now she doubles her price, just WOW.
Well, at least it was worth the effort walking and asking around booths. :) Now she and Mari stand beautifully in the center of my collection.
Still waiting for Rei from Chieri though, after that I might as well just stop getting EVA figures.
