ArchetypeSince she's 56% off at AmiAmi, I just couldn't resist. I originally wanted to order her way back when she was released in Ocotober, but the price just was too big for me back then. Now I ordered her, and I hope I won't regret it since Christmas is right around the corner and I don't want to end up having to either cancel stuff or have to make shortcuts for presents for my family. And of course, I hope I don't end up with a damaged one like Kufuu.

exilestrifeDefinitely take that 1000 y credit! Especially if you ordered her during the sale as opposed to the pre-order when she cost more than twice as much. Consider how fantastically lucky you are -- damage on resin figures can be way more severe and in a more visible area.

The problem with foreign sites is that they can't file claims to manufacturers to replace figures for overseas customers. I have never heard of that happening on these forums, whereas the US distributors like hobbyfan, toylet, animecornerstore, etc., always seem to come through with replacements.

AmiAmi is too good of a store to lose access too as far as pre-orders and spot sales go if you plan to continue the hobby! :)


Yeah, I eventually decided to take the partial refund. I eventually stopped being so butthurt about it haha. You're right about AmiAmi though. It's a pretty good site for these figures. I also have Alter's Dizzy preordered for next month and I really want to get her haha. I'll take a look at those stores that you mentioned though if I ever get any coldcast figures again. Hopefully they pull through with a replacement if anything lame like this happens again.

Thank you for your reply. The defect you have described is a manufacturer's defect. For customers inside Japan problems such as that would be handled directly with the manufacture, unfortunately that manufacturer does not offer international support. While our store is happy to do whatever we can to assist customers in situations such as this we are simply unable to procure or provide complete replacement items in situations such as this. As such, a partial refund is the limit of service we can provide in cases such as this.

We understand that this method of service may not be what you were hoping for and as such we can offer you a complete refund on your order if you request we do so. In doing so, though, we would also be forced to permanently close your account with our store and cancel any open orders. We realize that may seem a bit harsh, but please understand that as a business we simply cannot provide that type of service in every instance and we feel that in situations such as that it is in our customers' best interests to find a retail outlet that is a better match with their own needs and expectations.

There are other shops besides amiami. If she doesn't look too bad displayed even with the defect, I would just take the 1000 y refund. You wouldn't have to send her back right? If she just looks just terrible I would take the full refund and just use other shops in the future.
