nathan1575I have never bought a Touhou Project figure before, due to people always complaining about Griffon's quality. However, I can't stop looking at this one and definately wlll buy it. does anyone have any opinion's on the other 2 Hobby Japan Touhou Project figures in terms of quality? Don't think Maris a is out yet though?
I have the Hobby Japan Reimu and her quality is pretty great. Sculpting and paint are spot on. She looks great and really gives off the impression of flying free. Her only issue is the pegs to get her and her accesories onto the base don't always match up that well making it tough to get her on her base. Once you do manage to get her on she's really a sight to behold.

Leo_OtakuWell I understand the need to pay upfront since if people were to cancel or not pay. They need to secure a proper amount.Right. The shop or proxy has to pay for the figure as well. I'm not sure how mail-ins work, but if you are a shop owner and had to pay goods on order, would you allow your customers to wait with payment until the product is in stock? Probably not. There are just too much risks.

I personally see no problem in upfront payment. At least with TH or BiJ. What's paid is paid. It's not like you give your money to a random person on ebay. These two are shops with a (rather) long history. When in doubt, go and ask some long term customers of both. I'd probably do that with every new shop I'd like to order from. Unfortunately, not every so-called online shop is save. But those two are!
