I finally picked her up and she looks gorgeous! I am really happy with my Velvet.

The only problem is, I lost one of her plastic support pegs you put on her hand to help support her chains. I was surprised since I didn't even see it fall and it just vanished as I tried to put her together in my display case. It's no where to be seen now.
I was wondering if this is an issue or anything? I mean, I managed to place the weapon on her, but I'm just worried that losing this peg will be of trouble. I think I'm worrying too much, but still.

I know your pain, I was a bit disappointed and angry at Yamato when saw the differences on comparison pics, but calmed down when she arrived :) Differences are so subtle that you will hardly notice anything in person, if you do not own the 1st release. Definitely not disappointed with her purchase :)

Actually, seeing them compared side by side makes me feel a bit better. They aren't all that different. Just small details- so you were definitely right about that. Still wished the shading was alittle more evident though, since I can tell now that it lacks in the re-release. The hair is not as bad as I thought. I actually like the hands better in the new one.

I am not very happy about the hair being a brighter yellow or the skin's colouring. I guess the clothing isn't a huge issue for me or the reduced eyelids. Guess I will have to wait and see her in-person.
I'm just frustrated because of all the waiting and now there is a slight change of quality of course. *Sigh*.

aeonblue (28 days ago) #1474873Basically, the re-release has paler skin, less shading (I think most visible in her sleeves where the folds are a little darker in the orignal), brighter shade of yellow for her hair and the line on top of her eyelid has been reduced. I think her nails are different too but I don't quite remember in what way. All these changes are really subtle though and unless you have an extremely keen eye, you won't really notice the differences even if you placed them side by side.
