SonorousMiku (10 months ago) #17157801Sweet setup. I have that same display case from Ikea and didn't think to run LED down the sides. Great idea!
Thanks !

Fixing the LEDs on the metal structure of the detolf is really easy. All you need is some zip ties.

I prefer this way instead of sticking the LEDs on the glass shelves.
By doing this, the cables are almost invisible, each glass shelves can be removed without touching the lighting and you don't see the PCB card on the back of the LEDs through the glass.

The only downside is that you need twice the number of lights if you want it to be symmetrical.

DwD (10 months ago) #17157882Nice that site actually exists in my country too :) Kinda expensive though if you want 1 per shelf :P What measurements did you pick if you remember? Could be good for reference point
The background is a 30 x 30 cm square and basic quality.
The artwork is premium quality but it's not really worth it...

I'm considering buying another background with a Ghost in the Shell theme to set up behind Cyril & Iris since they are from Masamune Shirow.

Kassalis (10 months ago) #17157860Thanks !
The KLK background and the artwork beside the detolf are custom canvases made from a french website.
Google "print on canvas" like I did and you'll find an equivalent for you. They offer multiple sizes, styles and price range.
It's more expensive than just printing it yourself but the result looks really nice.

DwD (10 months ago) #17157786Really nice well done. What are you using as a backdrop behind the Kill La Kill figures? I wanna get some backdrops myself but not sure where/how to start...
Thanks !

Thank you very much :)
I was inspired by many awesome setups shown on this website. I am happy to see that mine can be an inspiration to others as well.
