For many years I'd wanted to collect anime figures, but never could muster up both the courage and greenback to actually go through with a purchase. They always seemed too expensive. But in May of 2008 I finally threw down some money and picked myself up a TAKI Corp Horo. Dear god, what a terrible peice of plastic that was. I love Horo, but I found it hard to love her after seeing what TAKI had done to her. I decided enough of that I have to try something different.
So I bought Alpha x Omega's C.C. figure, my faith in anime figures was restored. What a lovely figure she is, and with that in mind I rushed off and ordered me another Horo figure. This time from Cospa... Hey, I was learning, cut me some slack. Cospa ruined Horo's face pretty badly, decently produced figure, but that wasn't Horo, no not that face.
Not giving up a hobby that seemed so hit or miss, I threw down even more cash trying to get a decent looking Horo figure. This time, this time I got it right, I purchased Kotobukiya's Horo and ha ha! She was gorgeous, as Horo should be, I was ecstatic! It was at this junction that I hit the tipping point, and have since been unable to recover.
Purchasing faster and faster each month it seems like I'm never going to slow down. 5 figures in the first year, 39 in the next! And 10 already in 2010! Will it ever stop?! Yo I don't know!

True, but only Volks makes a figure of her.
There are some pretty nice garage kits of her, but still, it doesn't seem that she's as popular as Holo. It's too bad because I'd love to have a figure of her.

AkaThat's too bad about the slightly broken base, but I'm happy the main course arrived well prepared.
I guess I got lucky with both mine and no broken parts. I had no idea how brittle they were when I ordered.
Yeah, I was quite fortunate in that Horo arrived safely, that "niblet" of a break disappointed me, but it's only like a 3mm break, and it's not jagged and there was no paint loss! I'll probably take care of it tomorrow or Friday.
In case you're wondering which bit it was, it is the tip of the branch/root farthest to the left that extends out from base of the main body of the tree. So, it's good news that it is also non-weight-bearing! Thank God!

Hey man, I got my Rest in the Forest Horo today. When I opened it, I found that a small bit was broken off the at base of the tree... a clean break that I can repair and no one will know but me.
The important thing is Horo arrived safely and looks beautiful... as usual!
